Making a show surrounding Clark Kent as a teen really makes you feel like he's not some god-like figure, (AKA the Snyder-verse) he's actually a pretty chill dude with a sense of humor, normal goals after high school, and has opinions of pop culture & music because he grew up in Kansas. With Earth being his first home, Krypton is more of a place where he originated from. That's why Superman is as human as it gets 👌🏼

That's exactly what Man of Steel did, show people that Ckark wasn't some all powerful god, he struggled with finding his place like everyone else, not having all the answers but still trying to do what was right.
