It turns out that, from watching behind-the-scenes stuff, they actually visit the embassy for more than just to score some alcohol. They went there with the whole crew to watch the King's Coronation on TV with the embassy staff and enjoyed a celebration party later that night with plenty of alcohol. They should've shown that in the actual episode.
