Brilliant catches! Cool to see those 153's on the inspection train in particular. Those alarms have startled me even standing further back, let aside standing right next to the faulty one as it activated like in this video would 😅. It has been quite a while and still no change even though it's faulty, but it still does its job!

I prefer just holding my phone camera in my hands rather than on a stick. It also helps with the stabilisation :)

Some older-age half barrier crossings, especially those with the Mk1 "Penguin" barriers, have relays that stop the alarm sounding once the barriers have lowered. This particular crossing is unique as the alarm cuts out a few seconds after the barriers have been down. More modern half barrier crossings have the alarms continue sounding throughout the sequence.
