Thank you very much for sharing the knowledge. May I ask about K-factor of sprinkler head we may use in this case ?
@irfancfps Жыл бұрын
Minimum k factor shall be 5.6 (k80) as per nfpa .. in case u don’t have project specifications.. however if the floor height is more than 7 m k factor changes

thanks for the video.. I ve a doubt in the last step where you verified sprinkler coverage by dividing total area with total no. of sprinklers. How did you come to 130 sqft to consider the system adequate.. ?
@irfancfps7 ай бұрын
Area coverage per one sprinkler is 130sqft for oridnary hazard occupancies as per nfpa 13. I will make one video soon to understand the coverage area of sprinklers for light, ordinary and extra hazard occupancies.

Hi there is there a part 2 to this video for the office example?

No. Every thing was explained in that video related to the topic. If u want to ask specific point then let me know I will guide u

When verifying the sprinkler coverage around the 5:59 time mark, you obtained a Sprinkler Coverage Area = 128.7 sqft. However, if you consider the Coverage Area for a sprinkler that is adjacent to a wall & apply the values you previously used, wouldn't your value exceed your allowed max coverage area per NFPA 13? For example, here are the values you calcualted in the video: i.) Sprinkler Distance to Wall: 7ft ii.) Smax: 9 ft ii.) L: 14.3 ft Area of Coverage for Sprinkler Adjacent to 2 Walls & Applying "S & L" Rule: A = (2 x Distance From Wall) x (Greatest Distance to Adjacent Sprinkler) A = (2 x 7ft) x (14.3 ft) A= 200.2 sqft 200.2 sqft > 130 sqft Thus, for an Ordinary Hazard Occupancy, the area of coverage for a sprinkler adjacent to a wall would exceed what is allowed per NFPA 13. Please let me know what your thoughts are. (Also, I greatly enjoy your videos, keep up the great work!)

Please note distance b/w branch lines means "Distance between sprinklers only" Please dont get misunderstood by this terminology..
