Class 20 CHOPPERS putting on a SHOW at Severn Valley Railway Bridgnorth 23/07/2022 20142 & 20189

On-loan from Tyseley Steam Trust - 20142 & 20189 are seen operating services and shunting around the Bridgnorth yard. Lot's of moves back and forth with both locos looking/sounding amazing.
Both locos were drafted in on-loan to the SVR for a couple of days only to help with the Fire Ban currently restricting steam services - They both left the SVR back to Tyseley later this day.

Stunning show by the 20s, still not sure about the purple '70' livery. To follow the previous commenter really surprised to see the lack of HV gear on trackside personnel.

After years of watching such rail events, I do wonder whether the safety of those events is not adversely affected by the relatively high number of people that are always found in the driver's cab. I cannot escape the impression that the presence of several people in the driver's cabin automatically leads to the driver becoming distracted. Of course it's great fun for all those volunteers, but shouldn't it also be safe?

Absolutely, everyone in the cab takes safety very seriously, one incident would be catastrophic for the individuals and the railway.
