This is an English Electric 12CSVT twin turbo. 1750HP at 850RPM. 10 inch bore, 12-inch stroke. 15 Litre per cylinder. The V16 version is 38 tons dry weight. The V12 version here, I cant remember off hand but probably about 22 ton if it was complete. Those figures include the wacking great generator on the end though! The V16 version is the real daddy! Both are still in use today and sound heavenly on full throttle LOL. Edit, I put 22 ton without watching all your vid so wasnt far off! My big Palfinger crane wouldn't look at that either!!

Formidable38 is spot on . That EE v 12 is partially stripped and is still twenty plus tons. The generator adds at least a third of the weight it’s almost solid copper. The cylinder heads each weigh more than a cars engine. I’ve taken a few of these to bits and have the missing finger nails to prove it.

You won’t lift that v12 with a hiab no way . That engine and generator is best part of twenty tons

There was a poor access to get close enough to the engine. We have lifted 23t with this crane recently.
