Almost DONE!! We hang wallpaper, backsplash, remove the old couch, and have some fun and laughs along the way! My dad tries to show my mom a few tricks to hang up wallpaper which didn’t work out as he planned!

Looks beautiful! Suggestion for your closet space......put Laine’s long dresses on top along with anything long Michael has. Put the shirts and shorter items for both on bottom. (Give Laine one side, and Michael the other side.). No ironing that way😄. Laine, the homeschool books will stay in place while traveling if you put a thicker tension rod wall to wall half way up.👍🏻

Best way to place stick on covers, is to start AT LEAST 6”-8” down the wall, line your pattern up, pull it down a little way, then up. Alternate back and forth until you feel it’s ready for those last ‘pulls”. Before you do that however, pull the backing away from from the front down the strip a little way, and cut the backing across (from side to side). I learned this after many frustrating hours of attempting to apply this. I hope this makes sense!

If you didn’t want to get a iron. I use wrinkle release (homemade with 1 cup of water, 1 tsp fabric softer, and 1 tsp rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle) and just spray my clothes about five or ten minutes before I put them on and they are wrinkle free! I double the recipe and keep in a big spray bottle and now use my iron like maybe twice a year 😂😂

You have done an amazing job! My only suggestion would be to go to Ross and purchase a bunch of their sets of velvet hangers. You will be able to put about double the amount of clothes in the closets. I've replaced all the hangers in the house and even bought them for my granddaughter. You can buy 50 at a time and they aren't that expensive.

For the books on the shelf on travel days you can get a small tension rod to go across the books to keep them in place on travel days it will be a easy on and off and you don’t need to make any holes it’s a win win situation 👍🏼I hope it helps 💜

I had that problem with my closet, it is very small and my shirts would be all wrinkled. My solution was to fold my clothes over the hanger. It works real well and my clothes aren't wrinkled. We also have a small travel iron and small table top iron board but I mostly use it when I sew.

I only had half closets in my rig, so I learned to fold dresses, wraps, and anything else that was too long. T-shirts, slacks and certain other casual wear I folded then rolled and put them in drawers. A lot of people who only have half closets will hang long dresses Etc in their shower, but I shower everyday and I didn't want to have to drag those in and out all the time.

You can also use the shower & steam out wrinkles in an emergency. I would get the shower all steamy the night before I was going to wear whatever then hang my clothing in the shower all night.

I use magazine file holders to hold my books. It keeps them from falling over when one or two are pulled out. And then the tension rod would definitely hold them during travel.

With ref to travel passenger putting feet on the dashboard, your seatbelt will not save you under hard braking. Has been many reports of the person because they are near horizontal sliding feet first through the glass and either stopping with the belt under the chin or suffering bad spine damage, Food for thought just to gain a little more comfort.

Loftis Party of Six - weROAM I heard someone on RV Facebook group recommend using 3M adhesive sprayer on backsplash to keep it from coming off and on wallpapers as well. I haven’t tried but worth looking into that option.

@@LoftisPartyofSix .. it's the vinyl coated paper they install in trailers and r.v.'s...you absolutely need to prep the surface you're installing the 'stickey' wallpaper on use a good primer to prep... also you can use "liquid nails" for extra adhesion
