It’s interesting because we actually don’t see what she did following her mother’s death, we only know what she tells Jecka. And it’s important to note that Nicole is an unreliable narrator, she doesn’t want us to see her feel anything. That’s there’s some sort of cut every time there’s something that makes her feel anything real
