How is the game for itemization? I love a variety of magic weapons and armor. Does it cater to that? I haven't been able to find any information on weapons/armor for these games online. Thanks in advance!

There's variety in the weapon types [slings/stones (different types), hammers, axes, katanas, swords, rods, poles, whips, thrown weapons, knuckles, dolls, bows, and arrows (different types)]. Many of the weapons can also have special properties like elemental damage, boosted damage against specific enemy types, or can apply status effects like poison or instant death on attacking. Class of Heroes 2 adds instruments and guns. Class of Heroes 2 might have a few more types too for the classes I didn't use. Armor is quite varied. The beginning armor sets are themed more after a modern Japanese school environment so you'll see a lot of different uniform types or club clothes like kimonos or bloomers. Later in the game you'll find typical RPG stuff like iron armor, chain mail, and matching armor for the legs and arms . There are some eccentric or joke options I personally equipped like stilts for their passive floating ability. There are standard types of shields too and a good variety of accessories that provide different bonuses. Later in the game you find more interesting weapons and armor, but a bit of that probably won't be until the post game if you continue to play. Just about anything that has an alchemy recipe can also be upgraded up to +9 too.

for anyone planning to play class of heroes 1, just play 2. this is kind of a spoiler but at the end of 2 you go back to the class of heroes 1 world, dungeons and all. there is literally no reason to play 1. it sucks.

Wow, the "race" designs are insulting. The game claims to have ten different races, but it really only has two: Humans and Dwarves. The Dwarves are honestly the only race they put any thought into. They rest are just humans with arbitrary changes slapped onto them.

The only good video review I saw so far about this games. No other review her on YT even try to explain the mechanics of this games and only say "it has complicated mechanics". I already bought the collection for Switch, but other reviews made a really tough for me, if I should buy it or not. I wish this were my first review I saw.
