I found your channel through Joe Robinet and I have to say, I've been binge watching ever since! Love your content! Since I was diagnosed with CRPS(Complex Regional Pain Syndrome in 2016, I've not been able to canoe and portage because it affects my entire left leg. Watching your videos takes me back to a time when I could do what I love to watch you and Julia do.... Canoe and camp lol. I've got to thank Joe for introducing me to your channel. Anyways back to my binge watching lol. My wife to be even watches your videos with me. Looking forward to more content from you and Julia. Thanks to Btw for sharing your adventures with us viewers!

Hi Chris. I am from South Africa and I love watching videos about snow and snow camping. We get very little snow here in the mountains and when it does snow it is so expensive to go for like a weekend. You guys have a lovely country maybe one day I will make it over to Canada. Have fun doing what you guys do. Regards from sunny South South Africa!

I have always drank the water right from the lake, have worked in the park for ten years and have been tripping through for over thirty years and have always drank right from the lakes, no filters etc. My kids have come along over the years and never any issues. Just be aware of beaver houses and distances. Nothing nicer than dipping a cup into the water while you are canoeing along. BTW, I love your video's.

Hi Chris. Suggest you use another log to split your wood on, not a rock. A lot can go wrong using a rock to split wood on. Not to mention ruining your axe. Love your videos. Thanks for sharing, Jim
@ChrisProuse7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jim! We usually don't cut firewood wide enough to use another piece as a chopping block underneath, and it's just a cheap one, so I'm not too concerned about damaging it. I think what concerns me more are all the bushcrafters I see on KZbin who don't use eye protection - the axe is replaceable, but they only have one set of eyes :)

I know that you are in Ontario. Would you consider a Northern Alberta destination for a canoe trip? I'm from Fort McMurray, Alberta. And we had to evacuate 88,000 people due to a wildfire in May of 2016...I wonder if both of you could perhaps travel our historic Rivers and capture the beauty of our area and remind us of why we love Fort McMurray. Just asking.
@ChrisProuse8 жыл бұрын
We'd love to do more travel vlogging actually and I have family in Alberta that I'd like to visit, though I think it would come down to wether or not we could afford it within our small budget, so we're always actively looking for sponsors who might cover things like airfare and other travel costs :)

Thanks so much! Our two favourite times of the year for avoiding the bugs are early May (they usually start to swarm around mid-May), and from August onwards... September after the summer rush is a fantastic time to go. Already starting to think about our next trip in May! :)
