This 1972 drag racing documentary is epic, featuring Don Garlits and Don Prudhomme from the 1972 NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, Ca. Produced by ABC Sports with support from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, this video follows two of drag racing's icon drivers in their battles through eliminations.
Narrated by the great Keith Jackson, "Up in Smoke" takes you through drag racing of the era including the emergence of female drag racers with a cameo from Funny Car-driving Shirley Muldowney.

NHRA should watch videos like this, to examine where they went wrong with the sport today! The sport, has NO LIFE, no drivers personalities, grand stands empty, boring to watch! This is what happens when you have bean counters run a sport that was once run by true car enthusiast like Wally!
