I dont think anyone is forced, I play with multiple SR guilds. You can simply farm consumes and sell excess

Came back to classic era and started leveling a character when I got to around level 10 I thought hey let me go see if I can buy some low level greens to make my leveling journey a bit easier. I saw level 5 greens and whites on the AH for hundreds/thousands of gold so my natural response was to ask chat why these items were so expensive. The responses ranged from "don't buy it then loser" to "broke ass bitch" or "go back to retail" needless to say I haven't logged back on since. The economy is fucked and the community is toxic which is sad because I love the game and have been playing since 2004 when it came out. Need fresh servers asap

yup sounds about right :D same thing on Firemaw EU to be honest. Everyone is a sweaty parsing toxic GDKP'er and has a lvl 60 Rogue ready to go gank fest if you piss them off :D. Era was in a decently stable rate like 1+year ago tho ! Was nice to level and farm actually unlike now.

I think it is polarising to say that the economy is fucked. If we compare the cost/price of a product from 50 years ago it is going to cost so much less than in 2024. The same is true on Era. Lets look at Hardcore, when that released oily blackmouth were only about 20 copper per piece whereas on era they are 50 silver-2gold a piece depending on the day. So why wouldnt a low level green item be expensive? They are 20 silver-5 gold on the AH, not sure where your number of hundreds of gold came from. So why not learn fishing and herbalism and you can have 100 gold before you even get level 15. As for the toxic mentality you mention, I dont agree either. People give free gold, or free runs in low dungeons. I personally know people who give out free bags and free low level items to new players.

@@dwarflord you are entitled to your opinion and I'm glad you are having fun! I'm simply sharing my experience as a "new" player to the realm. It's great that you have had positive experiences and I hope you continue to spread that positivity in game and on your channel as well :). As for the economy if I can truly get 100gold by level 15 then that presents another problem no? I can already afford a level 40 mount a task that used to be somewhat difficult to do at 40 I can now buy more than 25 levels early. It would trivialize important aspects of the game such as budgeting for important skills and other things, yet I still wouldn't be able to buy a set of relevant green gear off the auction house. Seems a bit off to me. Good news is that I have found a "fresh" server to play on with a great community and have been having a great time 😁 iykyk. Anyway all love homie keep up the great content!
