1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona first shake down test after restoration. On UNRESTRICTED german Autobahn to check the top speed. POV, no music, no talking, just driving and sound. No aggressive or illegal driving, no road rage.
That's what a 50 year old V12 Ferrari can do.
0:00 warm up
0:35 first run - up to 275 km/h
03:36 second run - up to 280 km/h
07:33 cool down

@@alextester7037 I hear what you are saying. I cannot stand anything which is computer operated, it does not make me right but that is my opinion. Yes! Its so much more about the feeling, the sound, the smell and so on, not the numbers! I know that amodern civic turbo would blast the doors off that ferrari, but like somebody wisely said :"its much funnier to drive hard than fast", if you know what I mean.

@@alextester7037a car with a bunch of computer aided systems, and creature comforts like air conditioned seats, gps etc; is not a drivers car. refreshing to see someone who knows how to drive a car, I don't just mean the speed, I mean holding the steering wheel correctly, making quick gear changes and not using the gear stick as a hand rest,...change gear and hands straight back on the steering wheel...there are so many lazy drivers on you tube who just can't drive properly, this Ferrari pilot is good , you can tell he is a pro driver.

The stat which always impressed me most was 110-130 in 4th gear in something like 5.4 secs, same as the 0-60 time. Even now in 2022 that's a quick time for the horsepower and your typical Golf R type car won't manage it. One of my childhood dreams cars the Daytona.

its amazing how dramaless the car is, but that is what it was built to do, its a grand touer, hard at low speeds and it becomes in its element in the highers, like in 68, when this car came out, the fastest thing america had was a charger with a 440 and that's out of it at 210 kph and it goes to show brock yates wasnt lying when he stated at a 140 mph it was barely breathing when he used his for his 1977 cannonball run record. and it begs the question of just how quick the paul newman daytona race car must be like if the stock ones this good.
