Classic Game Room reviews GIGA WING 2 for Sega Dreamcast from Takumi and Capcom! The sequel to Giga Wing brings more absurdly high scores, explosions and bullet hell goodness! Play as one of five pilots and their aircraft as you crush enemies by shooting them with lasers or reflecting their shots back into their faces. Pick "refleco-force" or "reflecto-laser" and annihilate thousands of foes in this amazing arcade-style shooter from Capcom.

Man, I tell you, when the Dreamcast faded from shelves that was the time to pick everything up for a song. I remember my local Electronics Boutique having a 10ft section of wall just for Dreamcast clearance. I remember walking out with this game, several others, two light guns and 5 VMUs all for under 100 bucks. They just wanted the stuff gone to make room for the new PS2 stuff.

I fear what I'm about to say will anger many viewers here, but I'm starting to feel as if CGR has been diluting in the past few months. Mark, what I mean is that the majority of your recent reviews just seem to cover the same 4, maybe 5 gameplay types over and over again. I rarely see you trying anything out of your comfort zone anymore. I remember when I first found this channel and I spent hours looking through your backlog at all the different types of games that were covered here, and I miss that variety. I know you're just one man who can only do so much, and who only can tolerate a certain number of genres, and that's why Undertow exists, I get that. But even so, most of your videos just kind of blur together in similarity now. I get more out of your comic and manga reviews now because they feel like something different. I remember the videos that were tongue-in-cheek jokes at stupid, terrible games that everyone knows were stupid, I remember when you played more consoles than just the 16-bit ones, the 2600, and the Dreamcast, with occasional dips into the 8-bit and handheld titles. And maybe the Vectrex. If I can compare it to something, watching your current videos feels like watching current episodes of the Simpsons, and I don't mean that as an insult. I still think the Simpsons is a funny show, but I don't feel the cleverness in the execution as much as I used to. Like the Simpsons, I still watch you because I still think you're entertaining, and you still sometimes manage to make me add yet another game to my Amazon wishlist, but I don't feel as interested in your reviews anymore. Also, like the Simpsons, some of your jokes just get old after a while. Just how much longer are you going to ask if something can play Truxton, or if something has a Vectrex port? How much longer are you going to dedicate a 10th of your Star Wars game reviews to how incapable you are of getting over Jar Jar? It's been 16 years, man, let it go. To me, this video is just another "Mark reviews a space shoot em' up" episode, of which I've seen many, and have heard practically the same script for. For a show that claims to want to "review everything", I find that hard to believe now.

Just picked up a complete used but in very good condition copy of this game for $100 this weekend at a retro shop. I have a hard time justifying that kind of price for any game but I love collecting for the dreamcast and i saw its currently going on ebay for more like 200+. So if it comes down to it, it should be easy to get the money back out of it.

Decaying Reverie You should see Gigawing Generations - even more bullets.. Bullet Hell games look overwhelming but I bet you would do better than you imagine. The more you practise the more you progress (as with anything) and its pretty surprising how good you can get. I've not 1 c/c'd many games to be honest but there is something satisfying in gradually beating your own highscores.

+Decaying Reverie Its funny anyways but if you never want to get brain explode...never play any black Laber games from Cave, Touhou, Gradius games on High Loops, or...in any fucking moment, never in yo life, get back...stay really away...Ikaruga or Radiant Silvergun on Hardest levels and loops...they are beatiful but imposible (Still I love them))

MetalSonicodraco7342 Ha ha, thats why I play them - your brain melting..And playing on a quality arcade stick in TATE mode - beautiful. I just love beating that high score, getting a little further every time.. It's very satisfying. This said I'm yet to 1 c/c any CAVE game (save for Donpachi but that kind of isn't a bullet hell).

BillyTheBigDeal Ugh, I hate logic like this. You don't want to pay the price for the game? Then don't buy it. That doesn't suddenly entitle you to burn it for free.
@VirtualRobotsRevolt
@VirtualRobotsRevolt 9 жыл бұрын
BlownMacTruck lol, yeah since re-sellers on ebay, ebay fees, and flea marketers deserve my money. If i see this game being sold by a retro shop in town maybe i'll buy it because i want those stores to succeed. But excuse me for not having remorse for people trying to make a quick buck online. If the game was still being sold straight from Sega I'd buy it (not a digital download only version).
@BlownMacTruck
@BlownMacTruck 9 жыл бұрын
BillyTheBigDeal *shrug* It's called supply and demand. You may think they don't deserve your money, but they'll find pretty much someone who does. So why they should they sell it lower? To put it another way: if you wanted to sell one of your rarer games, would you be ok selling something typically priced at $70 for $10 just because someone said "Yeah, no, I can burn that," ?
