Little known fact about the game is that you could put the game disc right in to a CD player and listen to the soundtrack directly from the game disc. I loved the music in the game, especially the boss music and the opening stage.

Wow, this looks fantastic even today. I just found my old saturn in a box, I dusted it off and it still works perfectly after almost 25 years! Going to re-play this tonight on July 2020!! Damn I got old quick.

Panzer Dragoon was my first 32bit 3D game. One of the few games I got a nostalgia attack for. Absolutely love this series.

I purchased this game when the Saturn first came out in the States. I remember my father watching my brother and me play this game. He was impressed with the animation of the dragon (praise from a man who thought video games were a waste of time).

The Japanese boxart was done by the famous French artist Moebius, one of the founders of Heavy Metal magazine. If anyone can capture weird surreal artwork, it was him.

Oh, man. Such nostalgia. Panzer Dragoon is one of many games I grew up with, even though I have PD Zwei. If I had PD Saga, I would send you my copy of Zwei, Mark. But in case of someone ever sends the game to you, you're gonna love it. More than the first. Especially the soundtrack. The OST is the best OST I've ever heard in a lifetime!

I recently bought the windows version of this game along with a Saturn USB controller just for the nostalgia and cause this was one of my favorite games on the Saturn. I loved every bit of the windows version just as much! I almost couldn't believe a windows 95 game worked on windows 7. So glad it did though!

I played this on a Saturn as kid, later when i turned 15 i got to play Panzer Dragoon Orta with the original Panzer Dragoon as bonus content, i had quite a blast :)

Panzer Dragoon is a really special series, there's not much else like it on the market. Saga was my favourite and you should do a review for it! Incredible game. I'm lucky enough to still have my original copy :-) The concept art for Panzer Dragoon was created by Moebius, that's one of his pictures on the Japanese cover. RIP.

He also designed some of the creepier drones in the classic Star Wars trilogy (like the black probe in Hoth), helped with the introduction of manga in Europe (he was a personal friend of Otomo and Miyazaki) and had a long trajectory in the euro comic industry (The Incal, Arzach, Blueberry...). He passed away not long ago sadly.

One of my all time favourites. Orta is probably the best of the bunch, as it looks truly amazing and runs at 60 frames per second. Crimson Dragon for the 360 is a Panzer sequel of sorts, but is sadly a kinect only game.

The Reason the Japanese box art looks "way cooler" is because it was done by the fantastic french illustrator Jean Giraud, who went under the pseudonym Mœbius. He sadly passed away last year at the age of 73. Shame...

This game is the reason I own a Saturn. No regrets. I wanted a Wii sequel so badly. It never happened. Thankfully, we did get a strong alternative in Sin & Punishment: Star Successor.
