He mentioned it in the review, but under defeat is similar in a lot of ways and can be purchased on PS3 physical or digital. I doubt ZG2 will ever get a rerelease, so it's a good stand in.

I have a game for the Nintendo Wii that actually collects three shoot-em ups that appeared on the DC, under the umbrella title Ultimate Shooting Collection (catchy). It has Radio Allergy, Karous and Chaos Field, and they can be played with the Classic controller or the Game Cube controller, if you don't want to deal with the Wiimote (who would for these games?). Usually can be found for less than $15 used; I paid $5.99 for it back in 2010. Much better price that buying the DC originals, and it was released in the US.

Great review. This is the kind of content i expected from CGR. A little less ramble sotimes and more about the game itself. Thumbs up for even kinda say to people that when a game is overpriced and its not being produced anymore ( what makes the developers and publishers to not receive a dime if you buy somethig used overpriced ) you can always play it in "other ways". I myself encourage people in to homebrew or modchip their Dremcast. Lots of realy fun games, that if you expect to buy them all...you gonna broke. There's no reason to not play them if you can't aford it. Anyways, now that the Whodefeatz bullshit stopped. I think i'm gonna subscribe again.

Wow, your character's bullets are so bright! It looks kinda hard to see the enemy's bullets coming towards you with the big, bright bullet power up 😱. The game still looks epic though. Me wants 😊.

This game felt like the Dreamcast's last hurrah (after Ikaruga) and was pretty cool. I guess the 'workaround' might be the GD EMU SD card upgrade...or boot discs booting pirated ISOs..or, well, I dunno.

Really? Isn't it the case that the warez scene for the DC is littered with ISOs with boot disk codes baked in (i.e. they outnumber the straight 1:1 GD-ROM replicas)? And that a lot of these don't play nicely with DC emulators and prematurely age the lasers in the DC drives? My unmodded DC always needed boot disks for out-of-region games and burnt CD-Rs - unless the CD-Rs had the 'patched' versions of the games..which I recall being pretty popular even when the machine was still in the shops..

PrinceWatercress Alex Kidd in Miracle World is expensive and rare here in Europe, as it was built into most models that were sold here (until they started making Sonic the built in game). So sadly I don't have it, and the game built into my MS is the Snail Maze :-|
