I need to constantly remind myself just how strong wood is. I have an aluminum boat and a fiberglass boat, but both motor mounts are wooden. Wood is amazing... incredibly strong yet flexible. Alternate grain directions and you can make anything.

@Joe Devola No, because there's no evidence at all that we are reincarnated or have past lives. Everything we know or remember is stored in the brain, so when die that brain rots away. So how, would your memories transfer to a new body if reincarnation were to be a real thing? Better to go on the reasoned assumption that you only get one life, don't waste it believing there will be anything else, savour every moment like it's your last, because in reality, it is.

@@toboabegunde4306 Disagree, most closer of bird, is Base wingsuit, I fly everything except helicopter. With wing suit, we take off like bird of prey, we fly at similar speed to them (not as good, far from it) and the most important is that we use our body for direction. This aircraft look fun but it need a plane to pull him, so no réel freedom.

As a sailplane pilot myself, I have watched many videos of pilots flying $100K gliders and was getting bored with it. This video is a pure delight -- the real joy of flying! And for those of you that think the pilot is crazy: from what I can tell, the aircraft is well designed and constructed, albeit minimalist, and the pilot well trained. I think the biggest risk he faced was walking his glider back to park it (after landing) while barefoot, and getting his foot stung by a bee.

I suffer with vertigo tho id still have a crack at this Seriously considering having a go at building something similar to this. I love the openess and feeling of freedom you must get flying this Perhaps I should build a remote version then I could jump off and have somebody land it for me remotely.

Awsome bro :) on the parachute idea, you could use a something like High Energy sports inc paragliding/hang glider reserve in a front mount container and a customized skydive harness. Would be pretty cheap insurance. Great vid :)
