Yes cheaper to buy .but more difficult to restore . did not have internet to buy parts .only a few adres to buy parts .and expensive .

Hi, Just bought a `72 280SE 4.5 . Its being shipped from the USA to Rotterdam. Car needs rustrepair, enginework (blue smoke) and a repaint. Don`t have experience with restauration so maybe you can give me some advice? I am looking to get the work done in eastern europe but don`t have a reliable shop to go to. Thanks, Peter

Peter Alexander : what country you ca restore it? .here in Holland. you can restore it . in every price and quality. from repair till body off restoration.everyting is possible .remember cheap repair is .in the future expensive. if like to drive a lot of years . than you can restore .normaly i drive my mercedes 20 years now .and standing outside in the summer .in the winter i not drive . i know a good compagny in breukelen de greef .www.autoschadedegreef.nl/ they have restore my mercedes .they can do everyting from engine til interion and body work

Hi, I don`t know yet in which country. I think Poland but I am not sure. Perhaps I can find a good and not too expensive local bodyshop who can do the work. I will contact the company that restored your Benz and ask them what they think and what options I do have. I am in the middle of holland so maybe we can meet sometime when my Benz is ready.
