Ed's beatific smile says it all! I did the RAC in a Mini Cooper over 59 years ago but it sadly had hydro suspension that burst on the very last stage and we couldn't fix it! I am jealous! Rob

5:35 onwards, the smile only a a series with a straight cut box can give you.. Put a smile on any mini owner past and present. I'll have another mini one day.

Are 1:1 ratio drop gears quieter than other ratios?

Usually yes, mine are 1:1 but they are 23/23 tooth on the primary and input gears which are a bit louder than the 24/24.

@@pauljeffries thanks for the reply. I'm running 24 input and 23 primary but the noise is ALOT louder than other drop gears I've heard. I'm going to change back to 1:1 so fit a 24 primary to hopefully quiet down a bit.
