ACDodd mentioned to me that with modern fuels you want it to slow slightly. Staying the same is still a little rich apparently.

In regards the therostat housing, did you use sealant ? .. Blue Hylomar is always used, or as we knew it in Unipart times GGC102 :)

Thanks I thought that might be the problem. Also it came with 2 flimsy paper gaskets maybe I should have used both?

@@RustyRobz there are 2 gaskets supplied due to different spacing of the stud holes. As long as the gasket fits correctly over the studs, then you have the right gasket. I hope this helps.

Haynes manuals were always wrong. Always start at 2.5 turns, this is the SU settings. Ex BL trained mechanic.
