Classic Mini Differential Rebuild - Part 1

I have a 2002 mini cooper s i had a mechanic replace the harmonic balancer with a genuine part he returned the car to me saying that the old balancer had damaged the supercharger and it now making a screeching noise the car was perfect when I drove it in for repair the belt was still running on the faulty balancer can you advise as what could cause this as car is running in limp mode

Ill agree, if its inch pounds thats ok, but that torque wrench looks like a foot pounder, so thats like 207nm ?? which is CRAZY

Hehehehe.... see even Experts make mistake... at 8:06 he puts the WRONG SIDE output flange on the box... and then at CUT AWAY IN THE VIDEO.. its changed... hehehehehe Thanks MIni Mania... I am actually building 2 gearboxes at the moment.. and double checking how to shim the diff :)..

Good eye! Yeah, sometimes when making videos you focus too much on the making and not the process right in front of you :-).

The out put flanges arnt handed ? What do you mean. Thanks

@@lewisfullard87 the output flanges are identical, but the gaskets aren't. That's the only explanation I can come up with...
