Part 24.1 - In this update I regret starting this job, ignorance is bliss :) I cut out the oversill and start looking for the corrosion and rust damage from 12 years with a coversill fitted. Thankfully it's not too bad although the rear part of the sill near to the subframe has rusted pretty bad.

Keith, I‘m well pleased for you that the floors are so good! I think you should contact record breakers and tell them a Mini with over sills for 12 years is still in tacked, That has to be a first! Sorry if i have put the cat amongst the pigeons lol. Cheers Dave.

davejaguar66 I think the only reason it survived reasonably well is that is has only done about 9000 Miles in 12 years, has been garaged and only gets used in the dry. I think the oversills are definitely responsible for the rusted roof though.
