G'day from Australia Ian.! firstly congrats on the award, well deserved.! I much prefer your mates taillights, and where they were. Only thing would set them off would be a little bit of chrome around them. Hopefully Victor sees the light, "The taillight" !!, and gets you to put them back to how they were, with some skinny chrome around them.

I would have placed a long LED strip on the inside of the bumper the full width so the back end of the car just has a red glow resulting in totally hidden lights. I do t know how it would work out but just a thought

64 Grand Prix tail lights totally hidden behind chrome horizontal slats.

Don't know if it would be legal, cut small access for LED strip a across on the inside of the bottom of the bumper facing down. Hiding the strip. They wouldn't be seen but turn lights or brakes on. They will light glow on the panel between the muffler tips and on the road. And not be visible. Try stick /magnet type strip first. See it it works for the look you are after.... all the lines will same as they are.

Great build. Finally the blank rear end was ok, but Jacks tail lights were designed out of experience and vision.

If you could of put on the new tail lights on then put the bumper over the lights

Put the tail lights underneath the bumper and have them shine down on the roll pan. If you need to you can add some of the silver underneath the bumper to reflect the lights.

Another thought is to make a gap between the trunk lid and the body and put the tail lights in the gap.
