I vividly remember this segment airing when I was in kindergarten (1971-1972). I’ve Googled in the hope of finding this video for years. Building construction was endlessly fascinating for me as a child. This piece held my interest then and has stayed with me all these years. Now as a registered architect looking at it again after 52years, , I’m impressed with the level of detail presented to the young audience. The producers respected and had faith in the curiosity and intellect of their audience.

This sounds like music was written (and the electric harpsichord played by) Joe Raposo sometime in the early 70s, my guess being sometime in season 3. Love this, thanks for posting!

How come you're limiting to just season 3? It could have also been from the previous 2.

It's hard to tell this time because there's no player piano sound or cast members, so it could be earlier, but it sounds like music similar to one of the letter demonstration films. There were four in season 3 and four in season 5. But I'm just guessing about what season I think think clip came from.

I remember this but there was no actual real construction footage of the men building. They must have edited this later on. Too bad.
