This is a perfect salad for summer! I agree with the last part about refrigerating it (for me) so that it's cold, adding the crackers whenever I'm ready for some. I am motivated to experiment a little to my taste by adding in crab and shrimp and cilantro, maybe a bit of lime juice too.

Born and bred in Maryland and never heard of Cracker Salad -- Military for 23 years and lived all over US and Germany - never heard of it anywhere - - but looks wonderful - - think I'd add a small can of tuna - -

Hello Georgia here. My grandmother would add lettuce and I add spinach instead of lettuce. Best thing ever. I would spend summers at her house and she would make me salads and this. I miss her!

Every bite is delightful ❤ I made this salad once about a year or so ago after seeing another KZbinr make it but I only made it with tomato, mayo, and crackers. Salad looks really good good right about now !! Wouldn’t mind a large helping. Got me with The tomatoes ,Hard boiled Eggs and Lots of Cheese !! My family would often have salads ,Cold Cuts & Cheese platters with sandwiches on really Hit days when I was a kid so mom didn’t have to turn on the stove or it would be an outdoor barbecue in the shade of our backyard on the patio .
