so if I put the beam on a bench vertically level and weld the adjusters in at a 25 degree angle how much of a drop will that give me. I will be ordering these from you guys very soon! sorry for all the questions.

7.5"

Why is there another screw in the adjusting sleeve? Do you need it or is the one that engages the recess in the leaf springs enough?
@AirkewldVWs Жыл бұрын
It indexes the assembly another 90 degrees so that the adjuster isn’t dragging the ground
@blakeerdmann7 жыл бұрын
how do you determine what angle to weld in the adjuster?
@AirkewldVWs7 жыл бұрын
We determine the pre-load angle and the ability to get to stock height and then the adjusters will allow 7.5" of drop. Currently, we like 25 degrees.

could you cut an extra inch off each end, and the torsion bars, while installing this to narrow a beam?
@AirkewldVWs3 жыл бұрын
You could but you would then need to relocate the uprights to be able to bolt on to the chassis.

@@AirkewldVWs Yeah, its easy enough to remove them. I was hoping someone sold them. I have a feeling I will butcher them a big when if I try to remove them. I will have to think about it. I am definitely using your adjusters. I am not looking to slam the front end. My concern is that with disk brakes and lowering it roughly 2.5 to 3 inches I will be forced to use skinnier tires. I don't want to go any lower than 165s.
@sldnx5006 жыл бұрын
can they also be used to lift the front?
@AirkewldVWs6 жыл бұрын
Link Pin and Ball Joint application can lift the vehicle to Stock height but not past it. They can only articulate so much before things start to get crazy.

If I use these can I still run stock spindle’s. If so how much drop should I get.
@AirkewldVWs2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment T bay, the adjusters have about 7.5" of adjustment in them at 25 degrees.
@tbay9962 жыл бұрын
@@AirkewldVWs just for clarification, if I’m using stock spindle’s at 25 degrees, are all 7.5” of adjustment in the drop or is that basically a neutral position with 3.75” going either way. Appreciate the reply and additional information.
@AirkewldVWs2 жыл бұрын
@@tbay996 You can't go higher than the stock ball joints allow. The 50/50 is a myth that was never thought out. You can only use the articulation in the ball joint. No more, no less. Hope this helps.

I have this on my 64 beetle that I bought a couple years ago. It's at the highest setting and the car is about 3" off the ground. I'd like to go higher (2-3 inches). Can you "re index" the one top screw so that maybe where it's at now (the highest) is now the lowest setting? If that makes any sense.
@AirkewldVWs4 жыл бұрын
Hey Colin, thanks for commenting. Can you elaborate a little? Do you have this exact adjuster? Was it installed at 17 or 25 degrees?
@colinrobinson63374 жыл бұрын
@@AirkewldVWs I actually don't know. It looks similar. I'd say it's at 17 degrees.
@AirkewldVWs4 жыл бұрын
I would find out if you have all your torsions it in first. I would then see if you shocks are fully extended. If they are, remove them and adjust the beam up some more.
I bought these, did everything thing as described, sad thing after power coating can’t get the correct height, I advise to not waste money.

And publicly criticizing the product makes more sense rather than having a conversation to see how and why you had the results you did and come up with an adjustment here or there? 👌🏻
