If you use 6v bulbs your lights will be plenty bright. Most ppl dont know and use 12v bulbs

if your lights are dim I suggest checking voltage at the lights. You may have a resistance and voltage drop problem from bad contacts somewhere. With the higher rated and higher efficiency 6v globes out there these days (including H4 halogen 55/55W headlights) I've got no problem with brightness.

My 63 had dim lights and Bozo bent one of the points in the regulator or something and it started to make 8v !

Get a 12 volt generator from a Porsche 912 same size as a Vw 6 volt ,but I think you know that.

I had a '65 and if you use the correct bulbs there isn't this problem. If you had done this video in the dark so people could see what you're talking about it would have been better.
