Incredible interpretation. I have heard Mertz on other occasions, and seemed to me just like a curiosity of a composer that was contemporary to the great masters. Her playing proves I am wrong. This is good music and wonderful guitarist

Wonderful music & wonderfully played! Learning it myself. Petra is IMHO the only one on the whole internet who doesn't make it look like a speedrace, separates melody and accompagniment (with its strange technique) perfectly and she is also the only one who prepares the climax with almost heavenly perfection. Not using the slide nor the Lento at that moment helps a lot, she is very right with her view! This equals the best Shumann-interpretations on the piano and evokes the period it was written in lively. Very very very impressed!
