Was kinda taken back at everyone’s opinion of this song. Now that the reactors have heard around 50 kpop songs, I think we, as an audience, are finally beginning to get a grip at what styles of music the reactors really like, and things that they don’t like. Everyone has their own strong opinion and taste in music, and I think it’s kinda cool to see everyone’s tastes becoming visible as more and more videos and groups are being reacted to!

Honestly I was so tempted to 'sugar coat' the reaction in fear of lots of ARMY's becoming offended at her opinions, but I think i'm going to try and go for more true, sincere, lightly edited opinions from my friends even if they're not the most positive. The fact that some loved Not Today and people like Yunyi didnt like it that much but liked Spring Day alot, really shows how BTS is able to cater to different preferences. They can go all mellow while maintaining their style and also go all out and crazy, for different people of different tastes, for different moods. Versitality at its finest 💯💯💯💯💯

The only problem I see with that statement is that it sounds like you'e saying only people who are musically trained should be allowed to dislike songs. We are ALL allowed to like or dislike based on our personal preference and taste alone. We don't have to have a solid reason, we don't have to justify it. It does not make you a hater if you don't like something. It only makes you a hater if you get rude about it. And let's be honest, there are just as many ARMY who are hateful as hell when responding to people whose opinions merely differ.

While I agree with Yunyi that "Not Today" is less musically complex than "Fire" or "Dope," you have to admit that this is pretty good for a FOLLOW-UP single/mv for a REPACKAGE album. BTS could've dropped "Spring Day" and left it at that, but they were wise enough to appeal to another segment of their fandom with a very lit, very hype song. I love this series to death and am really enjoying the diverse perspectives! Thank you, Umu!

there're so many types of BTS listeners. for example. me and my sister are armys but we completely have different types of music preference. i personally love the hyped song from BTS (not today, fire, dope, bapsae, etc) but my sister prefer enjoy the slow musical and lyirical one like I need U, dead leaves, etc i really love how Bighit understand that. this time, like what you said, they didn't just drop Spring Day and left it at that, but still have a follow up with BTS typical-hyped song like Not Today

I understand what you mean, but still I agree with Yunyi. For instance, I love slower music, meaningful and complex like she says and still I like Run a lot, for instance, despite being hype. So it's possible to compose a very hype song that even people like me like and that appeal to a wider audience. It's more like it's a bit flat and monotonous, a bit not on the level BTS has, at least in my opinion. I love Spring Day though.

Funny thing about this is I was a backup dancer for this song and only this song because I was only 13 at the time and I had to have school instead so all I could do is be a part of this song. The first time I listened to Not Today. I didn't like it either. It feels like there was too much sampling and they used Fire for that. However, the lyrics for the song is what makes it special. Then boom, I love listening to it already. 💜
