honestly i'm so happy that the reactors seemed to really enjoy the song because weishennies always say it's the worst comeback song and their least favorite on the whole album but i fucking LOVE KICK BACK and i will defend it to grave!! the pre-chorus and the bridge are some of my favorites in all of wayv's entire discography. kick back is absolutely immaculate and this is the hill i will die on!

ATE. kick back? controversial like pineapple on pizza (i'm on team pineapple)

wayv's hiatus or however you wanna call this hit me so hard bc it was literally my first reaction to wayv and my first time discovering them and then bum, sm said let's just split the members btw korea and china and don't relase any song or content with all of them for a year :D (i know there's "miracle", which i LOVE IT btw, but it was ot5 so i don't count it). so yeah, thank you sooo much, i really appreciate it😭

This is one of my favorite songs and I cannot believe I never noticed the first chorus is ascending and the second is descending and turns minor. Literally mind blown at the small little details one misses even after this song is a year old and I've been replaying obsessively. Thanks for the input hehe

ikr it's literally crazy how much time has flown by, and it makes me sad too. SM may have incredible production, artists, and overall talented people, but they are one of the worst at managing their idols :(

@@cinnomix no, let me correct you right there. SM manages groups which they prioritize more, it shows favoritism. Wayv on the other hand, receives little to no attention. Mainly, they are Chinese nationals, SM has a history in mismanaging Chinese idols; Kris, Tao, Luhan, SuJu's chinese members, f(x)'s victoria, etc. They prioritize Dream and 127 more because, obviously, they are indeed Koreans.

@@utep3882 exactly, that still proves my point tho. and i was talking mainly in the sense of the lucas scandal because he's the reason they've been on hiatus for so long. SM has never been good at protecting their artists and especially with scandals. but even the artists SM favors they still don't always treat the best (just look up compilations of nct dream and 127). i was saying managing in general, not just giving comebacks. but yes, it's true they're biased against their chinese artists and always have been

I was here for the music critics until 12:20 ... "The realm can be a state of mind" wait a freaking minute.. he knows zero of nct and wayv world but he actually just pointed out a huge thing. Nct are in dream lab which is something to do with the mind and dreams, so what he said just made the whole song makes much more sense now aligned with WAVy and NCT worlds....

Kick Back reminds me of EXO’s El Dorado. I think it’s that minor-major interplay. Both songs almost sound mystical… in a sense. Kick Back is tied with Moonwalk as my favorite/best WayV title track. Turn Back Time is second since it’s so aggressive the entire time lol Also SM please free all of WayV, thank you ‼️‼️‼️

This song is on my workout playlist so I have been able to really appreciate it more over time. It’s a really great song. People have so many “requirements” for a title track that I just people don’t realize SM will never make the song you THINK should be a title, a title track lol. I am such a K-pop fan but I have no knowledge in the musical field. I played guitar in the seventh grade because it was a requirement, that’s about it lol. However, I really, really enjoy watching your reactions because of the passion you guys have for the art. I love your channel so much, I've been a subscriber for years and I think it's probably the best kpop channel when it comes to reaction and the actual music for sure! I don't know much about music, so the way I react to it is entirely "naïve" and emotional, and that's fine, music is meant to move you and make you feel things too, but I love being able to understand more of what's going on on a more technical level! And it's always easy to understand, even for someone who doesn't know much, I feel like I've learned a lot thanks to you! And I know I can watch pretty much all of your videos and get something out of it, because either you're doing a song I love, and it's cool to get that technical analysis and to then like it even more, or you're talking about a song I didn't like or, in this case, I don't have strong feelings about, and you make me appreciate it more! I've actually completely changed my mind about a song based on one of your videos on several occasions! And everone is super fun to listen to, there's always a lot of respect even when people don't like the songs, it's always well-made and informative, but still entertaining. You guys need to react to superband. Its a korean show were musicians get together and compete in hopes of debuting I guess but as band not a kpop group.
