I think he probably does, but based on his choices, it wasn't about the music at all, lol. He was judging them based on what they were playing and the style they were playing, rather than if they were actually good or not, and probably if it sounded hot to him or not, lololol. Someone also mentioned that his ego wouldn't be able to stand having a partner that's super talented, and that's probably also a factor. I think he picked the one that is talented but on a level that he thinks he can play on, LOL.
@monsieurboks4 жыл бұрын
@@yoshithesage Yeah that ego thing is about as far from the mark as you can get, just a silly hate fantasy that women who don't understand tend to bring up. My man's just tryna smash.
@starlightsall4 жыл бұрын
@@monsieurboks I'm happy for you that you're so far from that kind of toxicity that it seems like a bad fantasy to you, but it's really not. There genuinely are men out there (I'm not talking about the guy in the video or anyone in particular) who are really so insecure and selfish that they'll get jealous if their partner is smarter/more talented/earning more money/better than them in general, so much so that they'll try to bring their partner down, gaslight, ridicule their ambitions, etc. so that they can feel like the "better one" in the relationship. I'd think (or hope) that most relationships are not like this, that most people are better than this. But that doesn't change the fact that some women have to deal with this type of toxicity, and in especially bad cases, it can ruin their lives, and nobody has the right to dismiss their genuine stories and struggles as a "silly hate fantasy." Edit: I do agree that this guy was probably just trying to figure out who's the hottest girl to take on a date based on the way they talked and not actual musicality.

Also, a lot of people who wear dreadlocks would rather you call them locs bc of the history of the word dreadlock. When white colonizers came to Caribbean and African areas and saw people wearing those styles, they thought it was dreadful so they named it dreadlocks and constantly used that word to antagonize and make fun of the people who wore that hairstyle. We want to erase the negativity behind having that hair style, so let’s please call them locs! :)

The worst part of these is how they go, "Now what do you think?" when the only difference is that they've each seen the way the other looks. They get you interested with a concept that actually seems kinda neat--go on a date after playing/singing music and having some conversation--but they ruin it by obviously setting it up and adding shallow bits. It makes Brett and Eddy's anger and roasts all the more entertaining, though, haha.

Howard Stark Yeah, she didn’t directly choose me because she didn’t really know me at the time. One of the teachers for that program saw me perform violin with the string ensemble for one of their show. It was like a pit orchestra for their annual Beatles show. He just saw me jamming in the pit while waiting for our pieces to come up, and wanted to start a string quartet out of a few of us that he could use if he needed string quartets for the shows. I was lucky that they did use us and I felt honored to be chosen and to perform the piece.
