It makes ZERO sense for them to not release this on consoles. I think it would sell a million copies at least. Sony or Microsoft should just drop a bucket of cash to have this as an exclusive. It came out 9 years ago and still looks amazing.

It makes me tremendously happy that there is still people who make arcade games. Like, really, REALLY happy. The bad thing is, given where I live, I may not see any of those machines for a loooooooong time, if ever at all :(

I saw H2Overdrive at the Silver City cinema in Gloucester (an Ottawa suburb) on Wednesday & saw right away that it was a sequel (more or less) to HYDRO THUNDER, which I have on both Dreamcast and Playstation 2 (in MIDWAY ARCADE TREASURES 3) and which is a fantastic fun racing game. I really wanted to play it but it was getting late & I didn't want to risk not being able to catch a bus home.

This looks like a sweet game. I love boat games, they never seem to make too many. It is too bad you can not just buy an arcade machine to play yourself in the cheap. They get expensive. I was looking at a Terminator Salvation game which was about 8 grand. Maybe one day.

Best arcade game of the year. No Doubt. My only problem is that it does not have enough tracks compared to the original Hydro Thunder, but this game is nearly flawless nonetheless.

I so wanna play this; Hydro Thunder is one of the funnest games I own, I actually popped it in my DC yesterday after the the Dirty Drivin video and I remembered everything I love about it; I hope the H20verdrive game as a level like the Greek Isles level, so much fun and that song, it just gives off the feeling of adventure, which is so strange in a racing game, but it totally works

For trivia - every member of the Specular Interactive team that worked on this game got their own H2Overdrive cabinet for home. That's an easy way to get a cabinet for free, right? :)

Hurricane was a fantastic game. All the goodness of Hydro Thunder at home. It was a bit lacking, but it was also $15. This however...THIS HOWEVER!!!! This looks like it just blows both the other two.....out of the water.

There was supposed to be a release on the PS2 but Raw Thrills decided to create a better game. This is the only series of superboat racing in existence.

I tried it Tuesday. It's really awesome. The controls are great, the graphics are beautiful... I easily lost 10 bucks playing it. (the place I played it charged 1.50 a play...) And I loved it. If I ever get a place that could contain this, I would buy this in a heartbeat. :3

The vest arcade would contain multiple H2Overdrives for system link, multiple Fast and Furious for system link, Ocean Hunter, Guitar Hero, Pac Man, Mario, Galaga and Ski Ball.

Just to raise this necro thread from the dead; it's a shame the creators never allowed this to be ported to home consoles or the PC. Truly one of the best arcade racing games ever made. This was the unofficial (but official) sequel to Hydro Thunder. You can still buy this full sized arcade version for your home... at US $6,000.

Great to see these games getting some love. Hydro Thunder Hurricane is a joke compared to H2OVerdrive. I really hope the guys at Specular will consider home versions of their games in the future so more people can enjoy them.

It also happens in my country,there are a lot of mame machines and they´re crap,and I´ve seen a multi game driving cabinet(an old Ridge Racer cabinet)where you can choose games like RR,Daytona,Sega Rally,Outrun(it has a paper advice that says "Always choose automatic in Daytona and SR)

I don't think that is correct - Sunset Overdrive doesn't seem to use that font. What I'm looking for is the font for text such as the in-game time limit, current position and "YOUR TIME" label. What I know is that certain parts of the Caribbean Life TV show uses the same font.
