I bought one new in 1974 and kept it for 25 years. It was a GREAT car to drive on the highway. I drove it across the US three times and even one time with it being out of tune and it still performed well (I did the timing wrong before that one trip). I found it comfortable on long road trips. I never had trouble finding parts; back 25-30 years ago there were still a few crashed cars in junk yards that could provide some used parts. Road handling was good except the Michelin redline times that came on the car were not good at all on wet roads.

1969 TRIUMPH TR6 Below is a list of production characteristics unique to the 1969 model year TR6. Some are shared with the 1968 TR250/5 and others are found only on the 1969 TR6. Please feel free to comment on items listed and add any missed. There's a nice example for sale not far from my house. It has the steel hardtop, also a stainless exhaust system and triple Webers. Not a pristine car, would need some attention, but good for someone looking for one. It's in central New Hampshire where we have great sportscar roads, hilly and twisty, not those boring Florida ones. Of course the driving season, if you want to avoid road salt, is shorter. It's not for me, I have a ND Miata and two Jaguars, trying to buy a rusty '71 Alfa 1750 GTV from a New England hoarder, my plate is full. Anyone wanting deets just ask, I'll get them.

@@Jack-hg1hq As I recall, around $17,000. I had another look at it today, took a few pics. It's been kept in a barn for most of its life. It'a a '73, appears to be rust free. It has a trailer hitch and comes with a small trailer, which I haven't seen. I'm waiting on a call from the owner, who is not the man who's property the car is now on.
