buggy as it was, that quest was rather bitter sweet to me. dude gives you all he has left knowing he's not long for the world, which is a wad of money with a gun and hat to remember him by. he's literally making sure before he's feral, he's remembered by someone somehow in the end.

The true ending of Mountbatten is revealed in an epilogue section just before the closing credits, after you finish the game. You can probably guess what it is, since this quest is basically his "bucket list" and he knows he is going feral soon. Regarding the names "Brixton" and "Brickton" (36:47), the location was originally called Brixton (and so is the real-life London location), but the Tommies took over the region and changed its name to Brickton. The residents of Brixton resent that. That is why Mountbatten shows a little resentment saying the name Brickton. You need to play through the main quest to know all this. The main quest involving the Parliament petition takes you to all these places to learn their lore.

Hi Ox, since you are into companions, you should go back to Bank of England to get a potential companion there. I left a comment in your Part 19 video on what to do. Basically, you just need to press a button to open the bank vault door to free your potential companion. There is no INT check like you saw last time. If you have the "bank vault key" (which you already have), you just activate the "terminal" (which looks more like a keypad) right below the intercom to open the vault door.

Great idea! That companion is very good and funny but... if I remember correctly he hasn't found the specific key yet. If that''s so, the bank is big and having to go through the whole of it again would be a bit too long and tedious. Ox, if you don't want any spoiler, stop reading. Otherwise here is a vague hint on where to look: The key is within the bank complex, but it is not exacly inside it.

35:18 the chems weren't working because the way they configured the speech check is probably using GetPermenentActorValue rather than GetActorValue in the conditions. (The former checks for your "actual" base stat value and the latter will include anything that boosts it up in the calculation.) I'm still kind of novice in the GECK but I wonder if these teams are looking for new mates?

He rarely covers non-canon Fallout content in this channel, so it is already a monumental gesture from him to even play this mod and upload that many videos. Only canon Fallout content will get his "full" effort, because that is what his channel, subs, patreons, business need. I'm not saying this is ideal (because I would like him to cover more Fallout London too), but I'm telling you what to expect from this channel. Expect less when it is not canon Fallout.

@ His best lore videos are those for games which he has finished playing in full and know inside and out. And he is not doing that for Fallout London: he is making lore videos while he is still playing it and not fully understanding the lore. When he has all the stories from a game, that's when he can make the best videos. That's why I said these Fallout London videos are not his best efforts. He has a business to run, so he is probably hesitant to invest his time on a really long game that may not get as many views as his Fallout 4 videos.

Ox, you absolutely need to make the effort to return to the Enfield Factory as soon as you possibly can. I don't want to give it away, but I will give you this hint: Enfield was the official weapons manufacturer for the British military. Or at least was one of the primary manufacturers. For example, that service rifle you've been enjoying so much is a Short Magazine Lee Enfield rifle. They also made the EM2, which is what the "Combat Rifle" in this mod is based off of. I promise if you return and diligently search the place you will not come away disappointed.

The reason Mountbatten called brickton Brixton is because thats it's actual name. He more than likely remembers its old name from before the war and it slipped out. Xxx

The longest single journal I had to read in a game took me TWENTY minutes just to read in my head (reading it out loud might take even longer). It had 30+ pages, and was written in cursive too. It was from a 2024 puzzle game called Riven, made by the guy who made Myst in the 90s. It was a very good game, but that long journal at the end of the game was definitely a whopper.

This pub (2:38) has randomized bartenders: sometimes it's a robot, and sometimes a human tends the bar. In fact, all the NPCs in this pub have randomized appearances except the named NPCs. Another interesting pub is one where the patrons are NPCs of several different factions: Hooligan, Scavenger, Jack Tar, Tommy, Pistol, etc. -- all seemingly peacefully drinking with one another. The pub is called The Drunken Wolf, and it's at the NW tip of the main London map, just south of Camden. In the area where you found Archie and the crashed plane, there is a hard-to-see pub with an entrance that is half underwater.

The Enfield plant is most likely their analog to the Royal Small Arms Factory who made many of firearms for the British military.

Oxhorn, I see still have troubles with foxes. You should try melee with those. Melee is not much useful in Fallout 4, but from the FOLON FAQ: "Fallout: London, on the other hand, intends for there to be segments of the game that encourage, or even require, the use of melee weapons.". You should get a decent melee weapon and try using it with foxes and possibly other fiends when they get close enough.

He loves stories and lore, but hates inventory management and any kind of busywork. When I play, I go to one of my 6 settlements every 2 hours and spend at least 10 minutes each time stashing, scrapping, selling, upgrading, and crafting. I do it because it's enjoyable to me. But others may not feel the same, especially if playing games is their job. Oxhorn used to love settlements and has made lots of videos on modded settlements and such, but he stopped long ago.

@PCGamingGoodies I get the idea of scraping unused equipments for settlement use and weapons upgrades but then again it's fallout 4. You got the one piece armor and then you have the attachment armor. But still, you could once in awhile sell off the unused equipment for tickets since the mod kinda uses fallout new Vegas setup without the settlement building like the main game. Or at least that's how I see it from oxhorn gameplay. Even the old Arthur mule pack is full of stuff. Should be a sign to sell off or scrap them to use for weapons upgrades. Some of his legendary items could use some.

The "High FPS Physics Fix" mod from Nexusmods helps greatly in reducing the time for fast travels and entering/exiting areas -- from 20-90+ seconds to 5-15 seconds. The downside is that it causes screen-tearing because it forces VSync to be disabled.

This mod now has a player home called "Hideout," with workbench and everything, near Swan & Mitre. I believe we've told him that in the comments. If not, Ox, there is a player home near Swan & Mitre. When you find it, the door is inaccessible, and you have to fast-travel to it on the map in order to get inside. (Maybe that's why it's called Hideout.)
