What I love about this is how hard it looks to do but it’s so beginner friendly. So clever ! Thank you !

Cut them long enough and use as fringe.

@richardbenjamin85353 жыл бұрын
why do you sew in the ends when if you keep them an equal length, they create beautiful fringe without even trying? leave 2 or 3 inches, tie your slip knot and begin chaining. leave an equal amount at the end, bind off and tie your knot. for row 1, leave the same amount and repeat what you already do. then the same at the end. for that matter, if you put a row of single crochets as a border, you just work the loose ends under that without sewing and the loose ends vanish like magic. i don't remember hearing you say it, but this is also a variation of the mosaic pattern, which was called the navajo when i learned it in the late 1970's and this pattern when i learned it in the lat 1990's was called jacob's step ladder. now someone has combined both of these and they call it the havana pattern along with a very pretty border. personally, i still think the natural fringe looks prettier. when i tried to sell the navajo pattern online, all one woman could do was rant and rave about how fringe was bad on a baby blanket and how it would hurt a baby. looks like no good deed ever goes unpunished. :(

I love this pattern. My Grandma used to make this pattern often. I think she liked so much was because she was Apache Indian. lol Thank you for teaching this. You made it look so easy. I will definitely try it, once I get some yarn. Did you weave in the ends? I think Grandma left them long for fringe.

U can leave them long or weave them in that’s up to you 😘😘
