I really like my Prym hooks but for amigurumi metal hooks are my go to. I snapped a cheap plastic hook with tight tension once. I don't have a fav metal hook but have lots of styles. And have some Furls and beautiful hooks that were gifts or won that I cherish.❤ For me I tend to stay away from most of the events or just lurk these days. The competition gets weird sometimes. I enjoy hanging ,having fun and have a stash aquired beyond what I can possibly use in this life time so no need to fight over yarn.❤

Hey 👋 lady I got a set of those Dots hooks recently as a gift and they came with a 6mm yours should have to. I’m really enjoying working with them very similar to my clovers . I know all about dealing with insurance and doctors offices so I can relate. Still trying to get services started for Johnny my 25 year old autistic son we have been at it almost all year. Hopefully soon things will finally start.

Most of my hooks are no name ones from a cheap set on Amazon. I have one boye hook I scavenged from older craft supplies. It's nice, but it's a 2mm and too small for most stuff. I also have an interchangeable tambour hook, but that's absolutely tiny, more for applique than anything.

Shawl in a ball weight is because of the halo I think, the base is thinner but a lot of halo 🤔

I have a dot hook set and I like them but when I first used them I didn't like them and I had to use them a little longer and make a project with them. So if you don't like them initially try them for a bit longer and try them with different types of yarns, they had to grow on me for a bit and once my hands got used to them ...I'm like wow I really like these more than I thought I would. :). I need to do an auction and/or destash of my yarn once I'm ok of getting rid of some yarn. I type fast and I still wasn't able to buy any of the yarn but it's all ok... I have plenty of yarn anyways, lol... yea I like the auction style alot better, it was very stressful to be a moderator with the way she setup the first de stash sale. Not everyone understands that what they type shows up differently at a different time than everyone else's and the content creator sees one thing, moderators see another and the viewers see something else. I think if I do one I would probably need help from a friend to be physically present to help me with the yarn and the packages and then sell the items the second way or just setup the yarn in ko-fi with a set price and whoever wants it, sees it first, pays for it... can buy it.

I don't quite feel the same way as you do about what happened at Michi's but it's ok. I'm sure there are many emotions about it both ways. I've moved past it and I hope everyone else did too. I'm happy you received your gorgeous yarns. They are so beautiful! 🎉😊

@jenreeves7684 I'm with you on this, JenJen!! But I rarely hold a grudge for long. I licked my wounds and moved on. But I will never do a dibs sale or destash auction again. Especially not the dibs sales. When Zoila said "Start", is when I placed my correct bid. It hurt not to get that Hobbii yarn that I dearly wanted. Oh well. God said, "You have plenty of other yarns to play with," lol!!

I use 2.5 for my Amigurumis, and I need to get me a new hook s as my current one is bent. But I like it, because it is ergonomic. Those are very nice sets. And I absolutely love that Stenli Muffin.

I was given some dots hooks, I absolutely love them! I've got quite big hands and find the longer handle so comfortable. The little hole on the bottom for your stitch marker is a bonus too, l lose stitch markers all the time otherwise!!
