Imagine if the first surfers in ancient Polynesia and Hawaii could see how far their craft has advanced! I'm in awe at the ease with which he traverses the waves!

Ocean beach is a freaking unfriendly body of water of all beaches. Heard a kiter who went out on a big day there…die. Johnny is My hero !!!…to get out on SUP foil passed shore breaks and carving on the face like this!!! Wow…respect!!!

A virtuoso. Such a clean line in those carves. You can feel how he’s on the edge and in control at the same time. Pure sensation.

This is the best carving I've seen yet in my new obsession. Making foils now in the shop just from having a look at these examples. Super stoked with the fine quality of stylin here ~ I just made a board similar to that one, several masts and strengths and weights. For the price of new equipment I can make several sets of different foils and boards. Epic turn for surfing ~ Aloha ~

Surfers always talk about your bottom turn being most crucial and important to surfing well. Foiling is honestly just as really crazy and early and badass bottom turn. You go at the face of the wave and climb and then attack the lip and fly down the face. It’s still surfing. Just with modern technology. For anyone opposed to foiling, you should grab an alaia. Ditch your fins. Ditch your foam. Ditch your leash. Ditch your fiberglass. Ditch your wax. That’s all modern new technology to make surfing easier 🤷🏽♂️ foiling is simply new technology making surfing better. Sucks to see the hate for it. Once I learned to foil, I haven’t touched my surfboards much since.

I hear ya, it's deep enough outside that the energy dissipates, the shallow inside is where one gets worked.

Ya, there is so much footage of clean lines but if you are trying to learn it’s how to get out of trouble that is the most critical but seldom much footage of that. Leave a few struggles in if the rider doesn’t mind too much. Excellent vid. Thank you. One of your vid replies got me into wing and it’s now a passion.

Wow!! Johnny makes this this look too easy. All that pumping looks like a good workout! To get to this level I'm thinking probably takes years of practice. I recently tried efioling and even that is a change to keep balanced. Definitely inspiring =)
@jakedavid25233 жыл бұрын
have some respect man. He is literally a world champion foiler. I don't think you will get to his level even after years of practice.

There are very few foilers in the world that can get away with the lean angles Johny pulls so easily.Supfoil or Wingfoil.
@tonolegarda99193 жыл бұрын
Niiice! is that the same board he uses to wingfoil? What do you think is board volume?

Different board, best guess around 100L
