brother in faith! i love to see people break free from the man made idea that if you are trans, you cant have God in your life. May God increase you in faith and strength

Mad respect for speaking out about this! Idk why I'm always a little hesitant to speak about my faith as a transman because of the questions and judgement I may receive in return. But I've learned overtime that my relationship w God is personal and between us. Only he can judge me.

I’ve gotten a lotttt into my faith the last few years. I’ve also learned a lot within that, one thing I’ve learned is you don’t have the read the Bible like any other book. It doesn’t have to be a start to finish reading. Also, what I like to do is I have the Bible app. Within the app you can look up different topics, not all the time can you find exact things about lgbt+ stuff, but it does help a lotttt if there’s certain topics on your mind. I would definitely suggest that!

There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28 Clayton I am so glad that you are on a journey of finding God and the Truth. I have watched your videos for a long time, before you started taking T. You blocked me a while back, so you most likely will not read this. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Proverbs 1:7 What does the phrase “the fear of the Lord” mean? The word “fear” used by Solomon means “to have a deep reverence and respect for the Lord.” Literally, we are “to be awed and humbled by His presence.” The remarkable thing about fearing God is that, when you fear God, you fear nothing else; whereas, if you do not fear God, you fear everything else. You said that you are afraid of Hell now. But please have the confidence that God loves you just the way you are. Through the work of Jesus Christ, who was the only perfect, sinless sacrifice for all people...who are willing to accept Him. God put it in all of us to look for our Creator. You are so right Clayton about how bad things are in the world right now. When we are living closer to God we want to reject the bad and sinful things in our life. Food is a good example of this. Back in the Bible times before Jesus was born. God's revealed himself through His chosen people the Israelites. God set a standard for His people to be set apart from the world to worship the one true God only. Part of the standard God set for them was a restrictive diet. This set God's people apart from the pagan cultures around them. As you read throw the Bible you will see just how sinful and bad the Israelites were. They didn't, and couldn't keep God's commandments. All those Laws just lead to death. We have freedom in Jesus Christ. We can eat whatever we want now without worry that we will be going to Hell for it. But as you have found out, most of the foods we have now are not from God and will make us sick. Sin is like that. God will forgive us...but the physical consequences of sin will leave us damaged. As we grow closer to Jesus the more we want to move away from sin. God made us to be eternal, to live forever. We don't want to live forever in a sinful state, and our God is so Holy that sin can not be in His presence. Jesus Christ is the only sinless man acceptable to God. If we trust in Jesus we will be with God in Heaven some day. Thank you for sharing your search for God in this video.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I appreciate your perspective on fearing God and the confidence that comes from knowing His love. It's true that living closer to God helps us to reject sinful things in our lives. I also find it interesting how you related the restrictive diet of the Israelites to setting them apart from pagan cultures. Your point about the freedom we have in Jesus Christ and the physical consequences of sin is very insightful. It's a reminder that while God forgives us, we still need to be mindful of our actions and their impact. I think the reason why I’ve been scared about being trans and believing in God is probably because of the people I’ve been around. There are a lot of Christians who tell me that I’m gonna go to hell just for being who I am. But at my Ninja Gym, 90% of the people are Christians and I am best friends with them. I started going to the church a couple of them go to and actually hanging out with them outside of Ninja, so we’ve been building a real friendship. I was scared to tell them, but everyone already knew I was trans and when I told them, they were all very supportive and told me that they love me. I think when I realized God is all about love, I understood that those who spread hatefulness and say being LGBT means you're going to hell need to reflect on themselves and worry about the sins they’re committing and what they can do better. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and encouraging words.

As a trans man myself, I have had this kind of doubt a lot of times. The way I see it is that one would go to hell if they suicide because by doing that you're kind of rejecting God's precious gift. And Your current action of transitioning made you live freely and you now don't have suicidal thoughts so that kind of explains everything. Why would you go to hell if, as you mentioned, out of your own free will you decided to transition? And after transitioning if you're happy and you serve people / humanity, what else would bestow the God's love on you? I study other religions too and I see that some people are so above and beyond their form, that whatever body they're born as, it doesn't matter to them at all. They have no thoughts of their own and they just identify themselves as the soul or the consciousness. So that also got me to thinking, that why is this female form of mine bothering me so much? But then the answer is right there in front of me. With my limited level of spiritual knowledge, I have to take some action, which can help me be more comfortable. If I feel so strongly that transitioning is the right thing to do and it would at least take me away from my negative thoughts of killing myself, I have to get that done. Maybe after finding at least the basic peace, one is able to move forward with their spiritual endeavours because then their mind isn't completely occupied on their own discomfort.

There is nothing in the bible that says transitioning is explicitly a sin, being trans as it is today did not exist at the time, so we can't really know if it is a sin. Churches may say otherwise but I am of the opinion that churches can not have more authority than scripture. But let's say that if it is a sin to transition, even so God does not and will not hate you for sinning, he does not hate the individual, he hates sin because it distances us from him. God knows that all of us will fall short of his grace and that is why he sent his son to save us. I suggest you read the gospels first Clayton. Jesus is God and he suffered on the cross for all of us, so that we may have eternal life with him. That is the act of a loving God, though faith in Jesus Christ we are saved. That's just my take though I'm not an expert. Just happy to see another trans person on a spiritual journey and in the end I hope you find yourself close to God.

I’m in a small town in Iowa a red state there isn’t much. I actually went to LGBT supporting church this Sunday, but it was weird like they didn’t preach anything about God and plus I am there to learn about faith and grow spiritually. There is a church that spreads positivity and a lot of young people go there. It’s 45 minutes away from me. It’s one of my Ninja buddies church that I’m probably just going more frequently.

@@ClaytonJayI’m a Lutheran, ELCA specifically. There are tons of Lutheran churches in Iowa. It will be mixed on how much they accept you being trans but it probably won’t be full on bigotry. You are welcome to Lutheranism, a tradition that does center itself on the word of God and might be LGBT inclusive depending on the congregation and pastor, more likely the case if it’s RIC affiliated. the focus isn’t stuff like that, it’s Gods Grace, the Lord forgives our sins which we all have and we are freed in Christ. We have a 1991 social statement advocating full inclusion but the churchwide denomination doesn’t take a strong position on the topic on what isn’t said in the Bible and leaves many things up to faithful interpretation.
