As modern, younger Americans, we generally not as grateful & respectful of our families. As I have gotten to be older I have become more appreciative of my family. However some can take it too far especially if the family pushes too hard to dictate how exactly adult children should be living their lives and what is acceptable.

I’m glad that you’re an Apple kind of guy - I am too. Oakleys are very nice. The big pair definitely provides the most UV protection - the rays reflect/bounce off pavement (so if you have a hat or under shade or if it is cloudy out & not sunny, you are not necessarily protected without wearing UV protection). UVB rays are the specific ultraviolet rays responsible for sun burns, they don’t however penetrate glass but UVA rays do penetrate glass and they are ones responsible for causing skin cancer.

Love it all! The ceremony clothes are so nice!. I'm a special Olympics gymnast from Uruguay. We had 2 shirts, sweatpants and a jacket for LA 2015. And Abu Dhabi 2019 we got 2 shirts and shorts. No jacket haha. And we bought 2 leotards. I'm grateful anyways! I may not have all the clothes we should have for 15 days, hard to keep washing one shirt using the other one. But I'm proud of my country, my achievements and fighting for 2023! (Special Olympics is not recognized by the international Olympic committee, that makes it harder for support) . Thank you for the videos I loved watching al the clothing 😊

They don't give them track spikes/running shoes because each athlete is sponsored by various different brands. That would be in violation of their endorsement contracts. That's why the gear they do get is "USA" branded. So if they are sponsored by Adidas they can't wear Adidas gear (they can still wear the spikes obviously) at the Olympics but the USOC is sponsored by Nike and as per the rules they have to wear the NIKE gear just as per the exception it has to be Team USA branded and not just regular Nike stuff. This is so it is clear that they are representing Team USA and presenting that everywhere they go while at the Games.

@@kennethcoleman1378 not everyone competing is sponsored though. There are a number of unsponsored athletes who will be free to wear whatever spikes they want. I am curious to see if Nike provided any of the new Rawdacious colorway to unsponsored athletes for the Olympics. I remember in February of 2020, every marathoner received Alphafly’s independent of their contract

@@benanastasoff8980 It doesn't matter though. Nike doesnt just give out spikes like that. The only reason they did for the Marathon trials was because people were complaining that the shoe gave a competitive advantage and it wasnt fair to those who had other sponsors or werent sponsored to have the newer tech. With the Olympics they arent doing that because nowadays all spikes are have the same type of technology.
