Clay Thank you for the knowledge. First timer here, the concept breakdown is clear and clean. The emotional mental guilt is real. My playing with money worldview, guilts me in “you worked so hard to make what you have”, why you guessing on a probability? The mental drama was the $29 option buy in. The floor drops on the stock, my mind tells me, you should have waited. Options come with a time option that gives you a do over on the next day. I made my first $4 profit in one day; then your message repeated in my head, “penny stock on steroids”. I compared a purchased stock vs option leverage. One gave me .06 cents the other $4, in the same time. Wow! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Looking forward to grow in understanding shorting the stock! Thank you again! JS

I can understand trade risk management, which in the beginning it’s basically just practice. If your not able to be a day trader because of pdt rules then using real risk management you would meet your limit pretty quick and not make much. Sometimes you have to risk more with a small account. Is it worth making a few dollars and using one of your few day trades.

Hi Clay, Thank you for all your videos you post. I've learned a lot from you! I think this video comes to me at a perfect time. I'm noticing my trading strategy works in certain market conditions, but not in all market conditions. Do you only use the SPY to dictate the market winds? What about QQQ, DIA, or any other ETFs? Another question I have. In your BA trade video, you mentioned how much you risked on that trade based on how much you've made already in the day. How do you adjust your risk within the day depending on how much you've made in the day versus how much you are willing to lose in any one trade (regardless of wins or losses)?

Market wind is not an indicator but simply a direction or trend. I hate to be a critic but this video is pretty lousy and could have been done in 5 minutes or less but I noticed multiple ads throughout the video so I’m assuming it has something to do with that. An indicator would be rsi, macd, etc.
@claytrader4 жыл бұрын
Market wind/trend is 100% an indicator.... it's an indicator of well.... the overall trend of the market....
@Jack_guerra4 жыл бұрын
ClayTrader gonna have to disagree with ya on that. market trend is simply market trend. It is in no means an indicator. Try and search for “market wind” when setting up indicators and it will not be there lol. Of course the trend is your friend but that doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed massive success and that it’s the “best indicator” especially with the volatility and manipulation currently happening.

I just stopped the video at 8:15 so I don't know what's coming next but where you just said you think the market is going to go down after that doji candle at 8:02, I thought that you really can't determine direction after price weakness into a doji? I've been studying a lot of price action and candlestick reading lately and what I'm learning and seeing confirmation of is that weakness into a doji = unpredictable following price action but strength into a doji = about 90% chance of reversal. Do you agree with that? I'm sure I'm oversimplifying it but at least in general is that what you see? Thanks! If my question is answered a little later in the video, please disregard. It isn't necessarily an indicator you throw on a chart, but instead using the SPY chart as an indicator to what a particular stock may do. If you go to 5/22 and compare BA stock to SPY around the timeframe he was trading you can see that when BA bounced in the video so did SPY. After a small bounce, SPY continuing downtrending and so did BA. Remember SPY is an ETF so it represents multiple stocks, therefore, you could say it is a good measure of the current market condition. Like he said though, it isn't 100% bulletproof.

Begs a few questions: Does it work on companies with low floats and 'cheap' prices? And what about companies that are not a part of the S&P? You proved that it works, but I feel like some, if not most people here, especially the new guys who just started trading and those who don't have a lot of capital to handle the short comissions or to be able to afford a share size big enough to even cover comissions from brokers without taking a ridiculous and unfavorable risk-reward, need some obvious warnings. I love your videos and I've learned a lot about trading with you, Clay, but I feel like this video is a death trap for those who just don't have the budget to afford those stocks to surpass comissions and go into the trade with a decent risk-reward. It's not on you if they decide to use your tips, that's for sure, but it definitely deserves a warning.

"And what about companies that are not a part of the S&P"? Excellent question. I was wondering the same. Since they are not part of the S&P I doubt this strategy would apply to them.

I get what youre saying, Im in same boat Id love to trade the bigger "box store" store stocks bc their movement coincides with trade strategies Clay and others talk about. For now Im stuck with stocks under $5 to even $1 where I can trade larger lot hoping to make that $100-$200 off quick trade
@Just0ke4 жыл бұрын
The answer is no. Low float stock are their own entity. The market could be crashing but if a low float stock has news doesn't matter what the s&p is doing.
@dreamrunner46804 жыл бұрын
Low float penny stocks are much more volatile than any other stocks. Over there you'd have to rely on catalysts and technical charts only, without SPY

Are commission fees based off of the whole account or how much you trade in one trade?🤔👍
@lolturtle134 жыл бұрын
Depends on the broker. Lightspeed that he uses charges the commission per share. Though with higher trade volume they offer lower commission.

Clay, i am a new trader about to get started, I have 25k to start with after I study and go through some courses. Is this a good starting point? How much can I aim to make per day realistically with this bankroll? Thanks for your amazing videos and content!

That depends on the courses you go through.

@@claytrader Ill be honest and transparent since you seem to be that in your vids. Review on True Trading Group? Are they reputable in your opinion? That was the first course I came across and was debating joining. I am also looking into your course as well. Thanks for your time and response.

Beginner here, apologies if this is just a super stupid question: im confused on what the actual indicator is and how to add it to charts. Like ik its the SPY, but as an indicator im a little confused...

wynn there isn’t one. It’s clickbait like most of this channel. The “indicator” is the “wind”, trade with the trend. Frankly, the most basic advice anybody can give. There isn’t an actual indicator he’s describing

thanks for this video. I agree to the basic idea, however: you still have to make assumptions about how the SPY will move in the next seconds/minutes, and its not 100% clear to me how you can predict or at least where to get the idea from... is it form certain patterns of the SPY of the last minutes, that make you believe where it will go?

Isn't that called risk management? You took some of the profit, and set yourself to potentially to take more profit, but you set a stop loss so you don't lose all your gains.
