Does the partially filled order valid to the next market day even if you didn't put the order date? As my order was good until today but it's not filled yet will that be automatic goes to the next day to match my limit price to go through. If incase this order doesn't go through as whole does that partially filled will go invalid ? Thanks!

If it's only a "day" order, then it'll cancel at the end of the day.

I’m so confused I’m on robinhood and I get a message randomly when I buy certain stocks it says that my order has been partially filled and that my order still remains open for the vast majority of the money that I put in to buy my position, but when I go to the actual stock it shows it all there as being accurate. It also shows above the message saying that it’s been partially filled that my order is complete... but then the partial execution one comes shortly after... any suggestions?!

Yeah, get a new broker. Robinhood sucks.

Hey clay, wht's the difference between going partial to try sell at a specific price AND selling through a limit stop-loss ??
@o-o3686Ай бұрын
frm what i understand stop loss limit selling is done during an unrealized trade. And selling using partial fill is used when selling a share you hold at anytime ?
@o-o3686Ай бұрын
why use partial fill ? in this age of technology i thought you'd sell any shares at anytime

Let’s say the seller wanted to sell 200 shares but only sold 60 could he just stop trying to sell the other ones? Or if a buyer wanted 200 shares but only got 60 could he change his mind and stop trying get the rest or will the broker continue till the orders are complete?

Yes, he could cancel the order at anytime.

So what happens to the trade fee? Is that charged only when the entire order is filled? And what happens if you cancel after it is partially filled. Do you still get charged for a full trade?
@claytrader3 жыл бұрын
charge full value... which is a bummer!

@@claytrader and if the order is first partially filled and then fully filled. Do you get charged the trade fee twice?

Jack Ko I’m curious to this too, especially if it got completed in more than two trades. Does it matter if you do limit, partial fill vs limit, all or none, in regards to the trading fee?

When placing an order for a market sell, does lightspeed calculate the amount of shares you own and the amount of shares bidding to be bought at multiple prices if need be or is the open P/L representation based off the assumption all your shares will get filled at the highest bid?

Um, what?
@ChaseBzz5 жыл бұрын
@@claytrader is the open p&l based on the top bidding price even if you have more shares than ppl buying at that price?

The p&l is based on shares that you own. It has nothing to do with what you are "bidding".
