Hello Sissy! Your decor looks awesome! Thanks for sharing it with us. I think a pergola would look so nice over your back porch. I can’t wait to see what you decide to do if you decide to cover them. Hubby roasted a delicious turkey and I made mashed potatoes. Other family members brought dressing, corn, salad, chickens, ham and of course no dinner is complete without Hawaiian rolls! We had pumpkin, apple and French Silk pies for dessert. It was an amazing spread and I am thankful for my family. Have a great week! See you next Sunday!

I would love to know what is in the sweet potato soufflé! That sounds amazing! My favorite dish for Thanksgiving is always a Southern favorite at our house…sweet potato casserole with mini marshmallows on top. It’s an old family recipe! I think the only difference between the Sweet Potato casserole and soufflé is that I add mostly Sugared covered pecans on top and I whip it longer in the mixer for a thinner consistency. @@Sissyspaces11ooooo, sugared pecans! I will have to try that! Those sound delicious! My husband makes roasted pecans with butter and salt, and we eat it like popcorn while we watch a movie! Funny story: my grandparents had a big pecan orchard when I was a child. We used to gather grocery bags full every time we visited. I think I was an older teenager when I found out that pecans came in small packages and cost a LOT of money. I was shocked! I think about that every time I buy pecans to this day!😄

Oh my! Your Christmas decorating is so beautiful and so tasteful. You have a good eye. We never change our Thanksgiving menu or Christmas menu one bit. If I tried to do that my family would go crazy. For Thanksgiving we always have smoked ham and turkey and all the fixings and for Christmas we always have fried shrimp and everything that goes with that. Everyone has a favorite dessert that I always fix. My two girls help a lot and my granddaughter also has gotten to where she’s a good cook. Thanks for sharing with us. Love in Christ

Hi there Sissy! I am new here and I just love your channel! I have a Tineco wet dry vacuum and I absolutely love it! The cleaning solution that is used takes a very little amount and it is used to clean the mop on self clean mode. My floors are cleaner than I ever expected from this amazing device! I am half way done with our Christmas shopping and by the end of today I will have it all completed. Our Thanksgiving menu is always the same and we look forward to it each year. A honey spiral ham made in the crockpot, stovetop sweet potatoes with brown sugar and pecans. Glazed lima beans, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and my grandmothers famous sage cornbread dressing! For our sweets we had pumpkin pie and leftover cinnamons rolls from breakfast (canned and topped with a pat of butter on each one before baking). Happy Holidays!

Hi Charlene, everything is looking so pretty in your home. We had only the 6 of us for Thanksgiving dinner this year. The triplets and I had colds so we didn't want to infect he family that doesn't live in the house with us. We had a great day anyway. Turkey, ham, cornbread dressing, mac and cheese, yams, broccoli casserole, cream corn, my mama's lime Jello salad she made every holiday meal and of course cranberry sauce. Key lime cake for dessert. About the wet dry vacuum, I'm not sure you would like it for your floors. Some of them put more water down than would be good for your floors. No matter if you buy one that self cleans, you still have to take it apart after every use and clean dirty water tank, roller brush and housing where brush sits. If not you get a sour smell in parts. The cleaner for those can be pricey, but you only use about a cap full. Of course, you can try it and return if not happy. I have the Tineco I-floor 2. They don't make that one anymore but I love mine. I have water proof LVP flooring and it works fine. They have improved a lot now by cleaning closer to edges now, but I'm happy with mine and don't mind cleaning it even though it has a self cleaning function. If it was just me, I would swifter but with the grandkids coming over daily, there are spills and the wet dry vac is great for spills. That's just my take.
