I had no idea the flowers on these Indian hawthorns are so pretty. I always thought they were very ordinary plants. You have changed my mind. Thanks for this video 🧢 🌿 🌱

Earlier this year I ordered 6 Eleanor Tabor from Plantsbymail. I highly recommend this company. The plants arrived well packed, healthy and beautiful. The plants were doing well in a bed that typically gets blistering sun in the summer, but this past Spring we had a massive amount of rain, the plants became spotty and now appear to be dead. I thought the Snowbank might be a better choice, until I heard that they don't like wet feet. I'm really at a loss to find a plant that can hold up to a lot of rain in the Spring and blistering sun in the summer. Any recommendations for something that will be low growing and compact that will tolerate these conditions?

Love the flowers on this plant! Thanks for sharing this evergreen. What is the pretty vine growing behind the Hawthorne?

I had an arborist out to look at the health of some trees in my backyard..in passing he made a reference to a bush we have calling it a "Hawthorn" and saying it was nice and we wouldn't want to get rid of it. So, the bush in question is likely original to the property...about 25 years old. It spans 5-6 feet high...and maybe 10 or 12 feet wide with branches 2-2.5 inches in diameter. The branches are sparse and approaching a bonsai-like sprawl. It doesn't have the same full, leafy, dome-shaped like yours or anything I see when I search images of a Hawthorn Scrub but because of it's squat shape, I'm certain it's a scrub and not a tree. It's evergreen and it does flower...white flowers, although not many, for 1-2 weeks once a year. Right now, in Nov, some of the leaves are turning red. It's located in a spot where it gets no direct sun under mature magnolia poplars, elm, and sweet gum trees. I'm thinking that perhaps the maturity of the Hawthorn and lack of ideal sunlight may be why looks different than many images I see online. Have you seen large, mature Hawthorns to speak to this? I'd like to trim it back and try to tidy it up but I don't see videos in which someone shows what I'm looking at leading me to think this thing is beasty and ancient as Hawthorns go. I'm concerned about pruning it back and being left with gangly leafless branches.

I have a Snow White Hawthorne and wanted to ask if you should remove the berries in spring to encourage growth or is it self cleaning and will drop off the berries and be replaced with flowers? Thank you
