Morgan's Maintenance now uses something called Houdini. It works great! No harsh chemicals and no residue.

Ultimately, I think there are numerous options that will work for this purpose. Personally, I just use Zep citrus degreaser which I keep around the house for general cleaning.

The primary ingredient of Ballistol is just simple mineral oil.

Seems to work pretty good Jim. Definitely worth investing in a can. I’m super OCD when it comes to cleaning my tools. Appreciate the video my friend. God bless my brother

I like Tub O' Towels as well, they will dry your hands out bad though...
@eliobermiller5362 жыл бұрын
I started with cleaning my tools with Ballistol, but Tub 'O Towels are far superior. Furthermore, Ballistol doesn't keep the rust off my pliers for more than few days here in the southeast US, whereas WD-40 Specialist Corrosion Inhibitor keeps my pliers shiny for a few weeks per application. It just seems like Ballistol is a jack of all trades and a master of none.

Oh man, you gave me a great idea... My oscillating multi tool always gets filthy from its drywall-eating duties, but I have a drill brush kit...

Not sure if this will work on drywall dust, probably more on greasy residue, but let us know!

@@PhillyFixed oh I was mostly meaning just the part about using detailing brush reminded me of the drill brush 🤣 I have a bunch of "make a buck after rebate" sanitizing wipes from Menards I use for everything including tools - apparently they ordered too many at the start of Covid. I'd be nervous about this stuff given it seems to be some kind of oil and the grippy bits of tools can get gummy with oil exposure.

Hey, could you kindly share how you keep your multi tool in good shape (outside and perhaps inside)? Thanks

It's funny that this video got published today because for the first time ever I cleaned a bunch of my tools yesterday and I just used some CLP that I use on my guns since I didn't really have much else to use

Yo Jim! That's pretty cool stuff. Though, even more affordable, is using wet wipes. Talk about cost effective and not hazardous to the skin nor tool casing. Just sayin. Oh, personally, I call it a "directional" vs "forward/ reverse" switch. Wink wink. Thanks for the video and may God and Jesus Christ be with you. 😁👍 P.S. yes, the wet wipes remove grease and oil just fine.
