The 3.7 VVEL needs Mass airflow cleaning about every 20k

I have an 04 g37 with 32000 miles and it has a kinetics velocity intake with a 75mm throttle body full aftermarket exhaust and 550 cc injectors. It has a tune on it but it idles rough and you have push the pedal all the way in and it will start and die then you start it regularly and it stays on and idles rough. Could that be the issue.

Do you have a tune? It seems more likely that your air fuel ratio is slightly off

They didn’t make g37 until 08?

When you take them off youll have to do an idle relearn right or else your rpms will messed up?

Did your engine light come back on or no??

The code that came from the map cleared on cleaning but one of my mafs had gone bad so I had to replace it. These mafs seem to be pretty finicky

@@BalancePointMediawhere did you get your new maf from ? Asking whether it would matter if I get it from auto zone

I would only recommend buying new oem hitachi for maf sensors. It’s a gamble if you get anything else and not worth the money saved Sometimes an autozone or other brand will be fine and sometimes it’ll fail

@@BalancePointMediaok thank you and by any chance when installing the new sensor did you need need to do any relearn process?

@@Basicg35_ I don’t believe I had to do the relearn for the MAF. I did it anyway for the map but I don’t think the maf needs it 👍
