You realize that “dirt” residue most likely has black mold from the inner parts of the washer and dishwasher also. Personally, I’d use an old rag with gloves, and place it into a plastic bag and throw it out afterwards. I’d also run one more cycle if it’s the first time using. I know, I waited 4 years before using this. The first time was gross! But please be cautious when wiping residue, as black mold very well is in it.

Underneath the white plate in your bin is what you need to take off and see where all the dirt stays. I bet if you take it off there’s even more gunk down there.(because the”dome” style)

@@sandysteinbrook yes! And there are videos on how to remove. There is a center cap that comes off be careful not to break inside prongs of the cap(if so amazon has replacements) then unscrew nut and entire agitator will come off

I know how well citric acid cleans a toilet, didn't know it would clean the washing machine too. Although other people have told me that it does a great job cleaning the dishwasher, so that makes sense. Thanks for sharing!

I am not sure. I don't know if the different tablets have been made with different amounts of the ingredients according to the different appliances.

I put a couple of big mugs full of ice cubes down the disposer and run it with cold water. You’re going to get a brown sludge coming up before it gets sucked back down. Repeat until you no longer get the brown sludge coming up. Ice cleans the disposer quite well I think

Why do you need to clean the washer again when the tablet and clean cycle is suppose to clean it the first time?

I just have to wipe out the dirt that comes out of the tubes into the barrel of the washer. Not really cleaning it again. Just taking a cloth and wiping off the yuck that the tablet helped deep clean.

I threw the rag in the washing machine to be washed the same I would a rag that I wiped other yuck off the countertops with.

The inside surface of laundry machine is clean after the cycle, but how do you know the outside surface of the tub is clean without pulling apart the washer?

Their official video says to run 3 consecutive cleaning cycles with a tablet in each. Has anyone ever noticed a difference between1,2,or 3 cycles? Sounds like the company trying to get you to use more tablets more often.

I don't think that is necessary. They clean fine using them one tablet a month.

You only need to run it 3 consecutive times if your washer is super dirty or smelly. But if it's not that bad, just use 1 tablet, and then repeat monthly.

I just ran a load through following the instructions given. It did absolutely nothing to clean the inside of my old Maytag washer. If I want any of the gunk cleaned off the blades inside or anywhere around the tub, it'll have to be good old elbow grease.
