Laziness with this family; their children are old enough to take care of their bedrooms and help out, but the parents haven't set them an example thinking it's okay to live like this, in chaos.

These episodes are seriously cut short. They should be 30-40 minutes. WE NEED TO SEE MORE. 15 minutes of dirt isn’t going to make me get up & clean. There’s so much missing because I know what’s missing.

Yes, this is an old video, and I remember seeing it a few years ago, and like all the older ones, it was much longer and more detailed.

I’m not sure if this will work, but here’s a playlist of six 45 minute episodes of Obsessive Compulsive Hoarders that I previously saved from Origin. (This clip is from an episode in a different season, I think. ) kzbin.info/aero/PLkIU_CG-B3-zhvDVkJmuvjWbTAkRk-S7M&si=Qz0CrgoRut6dJn3D

What lazy un enthusiastic children, they help create the mess , they should at least keep their own rooms clean , their parents are their parents not their servants My grandmother's was many hands make light work , so if all the children could help out a little each day things wouldn't get that bad

I’ve been watching a lot of these videos on cleaning and de-cluttering… and I am becoming obsessed with taking endless bags of stuff to the charity shop. I’m doing a bit more cleaning too. I’m realising why I always found it so difficult.

Both me and my husband have Type 1 diabetes. Husband has other health issues and I have chronic pain (pain that won’t ever go), I have seizures & had a stroke in January. I also have kids, our house isn’t spotless but it’s also not this.. it’s hard but we need to teach our kids the right way at the least. I am glad they seemed help ❤

I always feel so bad for the OCD people. I know first-hand what it's like living with OCD. Mine doesn't look like this, I don't constantly clean, but when I do it's very excessive. And I wash my hands constantly and take extremely long to do anything. I feel it eating me up inside, so I can't imagine how bad it would be to feel the need to clean 8 hours every day. Absolutely exhausting. They don't have time for a life outside of cleaning. They really need therapy.

it's not a real hoarding situation. They're just too lazy to pick up after themselves and clean and take out the rubbish on a regular basis. They will enjoy their home so much more if they look after it.

They also seem to have way too much stuff. There are four doll houses in one of the kid's bedrooms. Why does she need four?! Better to have less stuff that you have the room to take care of and use then tons of stuff you can't get to.

What has having type 2 diabetes got to do with cleaning; I can understand the wife having migraines but she doesn't have them every day; it's just pure laziness n I can't be bothered attitude.

You have one situation that stops you cleaning, is chronic illness. 😢That's a good enough excuse. I get it though we can't excuse living in filth but I hear people that mentally struggle they really can't have energy to clean. But they can help others can help. 😊

My mom cleaned every Saturday morning. She worked 5 days a week in a cleaning plant pressing clothes. At 7 I started to learn cooking , cleaning, sewing , ironing etc. I got a small allowance which increased to $5 by 11. But it was good to learn all this. No work no pay. Never hurt me. My own daughter was difficult but having her own home changed the attitude. These people are just not concerned but they should. Rats, mice and roaches love messes. Yuck. Everybody gets a chore. You'll enjoy life together much better.👍

@@wotawanancy3249It's not that they're not concerned, most of them have extreme mental health challenges. Yes, it's awful and should never happen. However, it usually starts off by leaving the house for a week or two then it spirals during a time of stress. They get so overwhelmed and depressed by the sheer amount of work to be done it just doesn't get done. I keep my house clean. I go through my things every few months and get rid of things that are causing clutter. Just because something comes easy to you and I doesn't mean it is easy or even possible for everyone. They need professional help and empathy.

That’s why it was so messy. He basically kept doing that (shoving everything into one place out of sight) and never sorting it. Stuff probably got damaged and was impossible to find. I’ve definitely damaged items by shoving everything into a pile just because I wanted to use the tables/surfaces NOW lol.

As a single, and also disabled mom, it is easy to judge someone else's clutter and mess as the "laziness" everyone is saying. When just taking care of the kids you love, and not having been sick before they were born. When just getting out of bed is painful, imagine trying to take care of everything. I told mine, when I due, I would rather my tombstone say "she was a great mom, but a terrible housekeeper" than the other way around. They had chores, and I was strict, but I was also really sick. Until u have limped in someone else's shoes, maybe stop calling them lazy. In case y'all missed it, he has Type 1 diabetes- which is exhausting, and she suffers from debilitating migraines. Walk in their shoes... I guarantee the laziness comments will disappear fast! (No, I do not know them, but I HAVE been there myself. The kids were the priority on days where energy was low. Happy kids rarely live in a spotless house.
