I remember I got flattened by it for a couple of months out of nowhere when I moved out of home. Was glad to be in my first place but got depression regardless. Couldn't even get organized to make a sandwich when I was hungry to the point of hunger pains. Just couldn't get things in order in my mind to even do a simple task like that.

One of the smaller details about this angel of a lady that I appreciate seeing time after time is that she maintains eye level with people. When the man sat down, she knelt to talk to him. This might not seem like a big deal to most people, but in my experience as someone who has depression and anxiety as well as someone who has worked with people whi also suffer with depression and anxieties among other mental ailments, this makes a huge, huge, HUGE difference when you're feeling vulnerable. It's such a small body language detail, but it just means so much. I hope this angel is well and continues to be happy.

I think you are right, but actually this could be the primary help he needed, because this was holding him back. - so this could be the starting point of getting better, - when he does not feel dragged down by his home. - ..... but i hope he keeps her number, she seems like the person he needs to “inspect” him and give him a bit of a push now and then, she is wonderful.

Unfortunately this is true. I myself suffer with depression and i too struggle with keeping my house clean. But when my house is clean, it helps a millions coz that does help me be more positive and more motivated. It is very important to check once in a while on people you know are depressed and help out before things get out of hand and too overwhelming. I am nowhere close to the state that this man is in, but i can see a real possibility that it could turn that bad... i try to keep myself on my toes and understanding this dire possibility motivates me as well.

@@SpiritDragoness I think we all have our own keystones of what keeps us as part of the land of the living. For me - I've found it's having clean kitchen countertops. Once they're clean and tidy - my mojo is boosted to tackle the other things.

I dont know these ladies but I love them. Keeping humor in mind and having understanding while cleaning. We need more people like this.
