I did the installation on my 23 BRZ today using the OTL adapter. There were several clips and small brackets that aren't shown in this video. I assume this video is on development car that had this done to it previously. Other than that, the install was straight forward. Also, the stock 22+ injector covers work just fine with this manifold. You don't really need them, but they do make the bay look a little cleaner. Also, the first gen driver's cover mounts differently than the second gen and doesn't quite fit as it's misissing the bracket for the front bolt. Lastly, if you are weak and clumsy like me, you will struggle to get the intake out. I was able to do it, but it was definitely a pain. haha

Sure does look better! I think this clearly makes sense for forced induction applications. For normally aspirated I'd be interested in seeing the before and after torque and power graphs. I'm curious as to why a manifold designed for a 2.0L motor works better on this 2.4L one. I would have thought that the factory one for the 2.4L (despite being plastic - yuck) would have been tuned to the higher capacity (e.g wider pipes etc) and would actually give you more power at higher revs. Data would be much appreciated!

Where's the dyno/ actual numbers from your testing? You guys say it adds more mid range but didn't show anything in the video and I can't seem to find a video where you actually talk about the performance gains.

Def wish it was in the vid as well, but I just saw a dyno graph on the gr86 forums today for the intake manifold swap if you're curious. (TLDR does get midrange but loses some top end)

What do you suppose the point of the driver-side fuelrail cover is for? I doesn't have any brackets for anything else. On the passenger side, i know on the ZN6/ZC6 it has the bracket for the injector ECU. Either way, i usually delete them

They're insulated for noise reduction and it's protection for the injectors in case of a wreck.
