DANDELION FLOWER JUICE - 115x Better Than the Roots & Leaves

Believe it or not, dandelion flower juice is healthier than the dandelion leaves and roots! I share with you the health benefits of dandelion flowers and show you how to make dandelion flower juice.
COMMON QUESTIONS:
1. If I want to freeze it, should I freeze the flower or the juice?
* Freeze the juice. If you freeze the flower it will be yucky mush when defrosted.
2. If I don't have a juicer is there an alternative?
* The next best thing would be to make a dandelion flower tea by steeping the flowers in hot water for 15-30 minutes, depending on how strong you want the tea. Sweeten the tea with you're favorite sweetener or combine with other teas. * You can also eat the flowers. Wash them, then add a couple to a smoothie or salad. Not sure you'll like what they taste like? Try one and find out!
3. Can I dehydrate them and use for tea later? Yes.
ALLERGIES: People with certain allergies could have an adverse reaction to dandelion. I do not know which specific allergies you have & if they contradict dandelion (I am not a medical professional) so please don't ask. Instead, DO YOUR RESEARCH or consult a healthcare practitioner before consuming dandelion. Thank you & be well!

When I raised goats, they used to run through the meadows in the spring and eat the flowers of all the dandelions. They would eat the plants, too, but not until after they had consumed all the flowers.

If I ever sell my house a big selling point is going to say non-sprayed lawn for over 24 years! I am fulfilled with natural plants in the front and back of my yard. I hope the next people post that as well so that if I'm looking for a house I could find one that is GMO and pesticide free.

O' Dandy Lion so boldly yellow. Sitting on my lawn, such a fine fellow! You are the first sign of Spring whose early scouts make me sing. Soon the whole mob will encamp upon the green grass so damp. Spread afar Like Abraham's children. Boundless stars, over hills they will run. With your gold we are rich, treasure in a field niche. Tis slander to call thee a weed. Thou art a fair flower indeed! I would no more yield to mow you over than a lucky field of four leaf clover. Shine on little sun. With you life seems fun. Soon parachutes will fan, alight over the land. You'll be left bare and bony after your babies take flight. I'll recall grey times, lonely until you made the days bright! -by GEORGE WOOLEY

For a less bitter and sweeter taste, it helps to remove all the stem part and only use the flower petals, like for jams and baked goods. I also prefer only the petals in salads and smoothies as the bitternes is too much for my sensitive pallet.

Well I will simply have to try some tea. Don't have a juicer of any kind, only a blender, but tea sounds easy enough. Now.... my very favorite thing, probably not quite as healthy but VERY good, is dandelion WINE. I just finally got enough this morning to start two big jugs of the stuff. It's one of my favorites. Wonder if wine has as many health benefits. Probably countered by the alcohol but is it good.

Hi, I enjoyed this 2 part video, and as someone else stated, your voice is very soothing. I appreciate that you don't have music in the background competing with your voice! That is so distracting to me! I wonder if you've ever frozen the flowers to enjoy in the off season? I'm thinking maybe pick, wash, dry, and put them in a bag in the freezer? I was so inspired today, that I went out and picked some flowers and leaves. I washed everything, and put them in my salad spinner, then into a big mesh bag, and hung the bag on the closeline since it's a windy day. Looking forward to making some tea, and cooking the greens. I'll put some in a blender drink in my nutra bullet as well. Thank you for sharing what you know! I subscribed! 🌹

If frozen, i'm afraid you'll have a mush mesh after defrosting them. You could juice them first, then freeze the juice. Or dehydrate them for long term storage in a jar... make tea anytime, any season that way..

Also I wanted to let you know about broccoli sprouts. the best place to look it up is found my fitness on youtube. she is a researcher who found out broccoli sprouts have the highest amounts of glucosinolates and myrosynase which creates sulphoraphane; a compound that directly turns on a genetic pathway that deals with inflammation, as well as massive cancer fighting benefits- more than any other plant! Do some research on your vitamins. One a Day is very bad. Get no benefit from them. Try putting one in some vinegar. It won't dissolve...so it will go right through your system. Many vitamins are owned by big Pharma companies and don't contain what they are supposed to. Nature Made and others are owned by big Pharma. I have noticed that most things advertised on tv are bad.

So, about that cup you made at the end and the exact size, can we just drink it normally or down it like if we’re really thirsty as if it was water???

No, don't do that. It has a strong detoxifying effect. Your body will need to start with small doses and taken with foods or in a smoothie will help it not be "too" strong.

Very interesting video. Could dandelion flowers help with arthritis ?
@bellslinki
@bellslinki Жыл бұрын
Inflammation is the cause of pain, so yes i would say dandelion will help, but even if it didnt specifically help your arthritis the dandelion is still a great plant to harvest. I take the flowers and put them in vodka to make a tincture.

@@bellslinki how do you use it.? A rub or teaspoon or so. Thank you for your help. After washing. I would soak a few minutes in vinegar to get the bugs out. Its amazing and gross seeing berries and how many bugs are in them and grapes. I wish we could talk on storage and jams

@@elizabethrose8510 its best just to have a go and find a method that works for you. I just find theres a small black beetle on dandelion, i just flick or tap the flower and they come off, then quick swish in water. As far as how much to take would be different for everyone and the reason for taking it. Enjoy the journey!

We have a freeze dryer. How stable are the chemicals either in dried flowers or freeze dried juice? Sure, you can dry them for use later, but are the benefits retained.

I'm just starting the second part but I don't have a juicer. Any kind of juicer and I absolutely can't afford to buy a juicer so I really hope you're gonna tell me how I can do this without. A juicer I have rheumatoid arthritis and other issues that I really think. Could benefit from this?

Did you add any amount of water to the juicer when making the juice, or is it strictly just all dandelions? I currently don't have a juicer, but want to get one. So not sure how they work. Thanks

I used only the flowers, but other juicers may not be able to juice only the flowers. I made a video on how my juicer works compared to other types of juicers. If interested you can watch it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5jChI1pdtShb6c
